I bit of a long drive, but great campsite. Really quiet, with lots of hikes.

Willaby campground just reopened after being closed for the last year due to hazardous trees.
We got campsite number 9 for the 4th of July and it was great! The vegetation has definitely obstructed some of the view we saw online but it was still lovely. Plenty of shade during the day and easy access to the beach for a swim was amazing.
Only one of the bathrooms is open. The first night the sink was broken and had to be held up by a stick to stop water from continuously running and there was no soap or a light in the bathroom. A couple of days later all of those things were fixed but the hand dryer is out of order and looks like it has been for a long time. The walls were moldy. I don’t think the bathrooms were cleaned while we were there but they did restock the toilet paper. There was a sign up saying the camp host was in falls creek campground. I know they just reopened (and earlier than originally announced for the 4th so maybe they haven’t fully staffed it yet). Having a bathroom with flush toilets and running water was a luxury so no complaints! Just recent reviews aren’t entirely accurate regarding the cleanliness.
There’s no firewood for purchase onsite so visit the nearby quinault mercantile for $6.75/ bundle or stop at one of the places along the roadside on your way out for $5 a bundle.
Overall a lovely campground with decent privacy between sites and swimming in lake Quinault was fabulous. We’d definitely come back.

A pretty good campground. Our site was on the lake but it was not easy to get to. We ended up using the day use area part of the lake. There were a lot of invasive plants mostly raspberry around the campground. The invasive plants were choking out natives at our campsite as well as hindering our lake view. The sites were a bit close for me as the noise traveled easily. Bathrooms were clean and the campground seemed tended to in terms of trash.
Both trails were awesome. The lakeside trail to the lodge was very pleasant and included a few swimming spots. The rainforest trail leading form the campground was so beautiful. The forest is magical there.

Great spot right on the lake! The only issue was finding the place on GPS, but after about 20 minutes we were good to go. It was just a bit west of the spot on the GPS. No biggie though. Highly recommend, particularly for swimmer and kayakers.
