Loved the privacy hedge around my tent site. Snagged an oceanfront spot and had a wonderful sleep listening to the ocean. campground was quiet, well-kept, and had easy access to the beach. LOVED it, despite it's being in a part of the park that is pretty far from other things.

One of the bathrooms was out of order, which is a problem. However, the bigger issue is the overgrown sites. Theres no way to park multiple vehicles as advertised. The beach was barely visible from the site, even though the photos showed a much better view. The site description claims that the campsite is flat, but its not!If the site is open, I suggest you take some time to maintain it.

Kalaloch doesnt disappoint. Getting A19 was a welcome surprise. The site is convenient to beach access and restrooms. Best part is its private and has enough around it to shield you from some of the wind. When I say private, the ranger called to see if I was coming as she missed my tent set up when doing site checks! Id recommend coming during the week when there are more sites available to choose from; also tends to be more peaceful.

I went camping here with my boyfriend and we both really enjoyed this spot. We love how the shrubs gave us a privacy wall from people driving/walking by. The branches and shrubs were maintained allowing us to view the ocean and have enough leg room to set up our 10x8 tent and 10x10 canopy. The view of the ocean was beautiful and the sound of the waves was very relaxing at night. We did notice a couple small snakes near the shrubs closest to the road, but the snakes didnt bother us. Surprisingly, there werent that many bugs around us. The stairs to the beach was only a 2 minute walk down which was very convenient for us. The walk to the restroom was less than a minute. Theres also a fish washing station, water pump, and the dumpsters near the restroom closest to the entrance of the campgrounds. We would definitely come back! Seeing the tree of life was nice as well.

There was an entire campsite closed for a small limb hanging from a tree. I could remove that limb in about 5 minutes with a ladder and handsaw.

We had an oceanfront site that hadn’t had any maintenance. I chopped out the protruding bushes myself.

They’ve been working on a shower facility for more than two years that isn’t complete. Campsites are being closed for no apparent reason? There is some bluff damage but some of the sites have been closed just because they can.

There were no ranger programs for the kids. This included Sol Duc which we stayed in over July 4th.
Overall it’s a sad state of affairs rife with laziness.

I hope someday the campground is returned to its former glory. It is well used and well loved. I’m not sure why it’s so neglected.

The site A19 had a great location with tall shrubs making the site very private. It's very close to the beach 2 minute walk to the silky soft sand and waves. There's a picnic area on one side and an empty lot on the other. It had a large picnic table and a fire ring with a thick metal and a thin mash-type double grill. They were height adjustable too. The tent area was secluded by salmon berry bushes. The sound of the sea was constant and powerful 24/7 like camping next to a large waterfall! Overall, we enjoyed staying camping here.

My trailer had to jack-knife to fit into the camping spot and there were some good samaritans who helped me out, couldn't ask for anything more for a good start. later on sunset, night walk and morning golf on the beach was just enough for my way of fun. My kids played baseball and other things.

What a beautiful campground! We had one of the ocean view sites and I can truly say it was one of the most beautiful campgrounds we have ever stayed at! The rain even held off on us for the night and we got to experience a lovely sunset! 10/10 would book again!

By chance we got the booking when someone cancelled one night before and we got it in the A loop which was an amazing spot to be in, the spot was clean, bathrooms were near and clean, the ocean sound at night is amazing, you have neighbors camping all around so you dont feel alone even though you have a private spot. Its an amazing setting, parking with the spot, a private fire pit and picnic table. We were camping the first time and never had a single issue during our stay. Will start coming here every year.

Nice private spot (thanks to the hedges) for car camping only right on cliff side by beach. Small spot to look through hedges at ocean or do what we did and set you camp hairs on the picnic table to have a view of beach above hedges. The hedges also block the wind so a campfire is better. This site is right beside the staircase down to the beach where people line up to see the sunset but you will have a private viewing from site.
