While the location is great with close proximity to the wide beach, the infrastructure was in poor condition. One restroom (out of 5) was closed due to water problems. There were sometimes a waiting line to get into the restrooms. The one closest to us had only one toilet in the men's room. There was no soap in the bathrooms. Water stations for filling water bottles had been installed at the restroom locations but none of them were in service. The sole source of drinking water was at the RV pump out station. Because of high use, the area around the spigot was flooded. The central stairs to the beach were washed out so you had to walk to one of the remaining two. On all the campground instructions there was strict rules about parking on pavement only and the maximum length of vehicle and campers at each site. These rules were not followed or enforced. Perhaps these problems are the result of a cut in funding, but it is a shame to see such a historic campground in such a dilapidated state.

Beautiful place, definitely some road noise, but come on, we can't afford to put soap in the bathrooms???

We had campsite #4 which was right by the road and very noisy most of the time. Also, there was a lot of traffic coming into the campgrounds as we were near the entrance. The campsite was spacious and fairly private otherwise. The beach itself is very sandy which many people love but we preferred Ruby Beach and spent much of our time on the other beaches in the area. There was only one urinal in the men's bathroom so there was usually a line which is unusual for a men's bathroom. We might come back and try other campsites further from the road if we can get one.

Lovely area. It was so much cooler than the surrounding areas which were upwards of 110. It’s was an amazing trip. 10/10 would do it again.
