The campground hosts went above and beyond! I am grateful to them for getting home safely when my vehicle wouldnt start. Also, the sites were very clean and the date stickers were correct!

We enjoyed this tightly controlled campground. The staff are very engaged in making sure it is quiet at night. It is a pleasant spot above the lake. We discovered the trais were easy to walk and interesting.

The campground is very well maintained and totally safe. I camp alone, and the hosts Cindy and Al are just awesome people! Toilets are clean, dogs are on leashes, and they drive around the campground several times a day to make sure everyone is happy! The views of the lake are amazing, and the evenings are quiet and beautiful. They even have lectures on Saturday night by local park rangers! Last night it was about local geology and dinosaurs. Ive stayed there twice, and plan to come again!

We got to the campsite just in the nick of time. The campground closes at 10pm and we had a long haul to get there. We were in a handicapped spot since I am impaired after spine surgery. The spot was spacious and pretty flat...we are in a camper and my husband didn't have to disconnect for the night. The host, who was right next door, was helpful and friendly. In the morning we awoke to a beautiful view out over the campground and down to the lake. Trash is collected at the sites, so it was nice to have a trash can available without heading to a dumpster. Everything was perfect, but we weren't surprised since we've been at the campground before.

We just camped in Abiquiu because our friends, Harry and Venche, used to host at this cg. and they now live in Abiquiu and so we visited with them and also went into Sante Fe, which is only a hour or so away. Went shopping and rode the Rail Runner on Wed. to Alb. and back. This is such a quiet cg and a very relaxing place to be. The only thing I might want would be to have Wifi while there. Other than that, we will go back again and again. It's been 23 years that we have been going there. My husband passed away 2 yrs and 8 mos. ago, but I got a smaller camper and keeping up the tradition. My handicapped daughter, 54, is always with me and she loves camping. Lucy King

There's not much access to the lake for fishing.Mostly the boat ramp area and a few steep areas along the cliffs. Fishing near the Rio Chama River was pleasant.

Extremely helpful camp host, well maintained campground. It was nice to stop in a place that had showers when I've been on my motorcycle touring around for a week.

Great experience, quiet and chill campground even on a holiday weekend. Nice lake and bike/walk trails right out of the campsite. Only comment would be that the site(s) we were in 9 and 10, were extremely bright at night because of the light at the guard station and bathroom. We were in trailers so we could block it out, but it's a shame to waste what could be a nice dark sky experience.

Wonderful campground with a gorgeous view of Abiquiu Lake and Cerro Pedernal. My only complaint, as in many campgrounds these days, the full bathroom facilities always seem to be near where the RVs are hooked up and the tent campers get the old vault toilets. Kind of ironic. (Yes, we are still tent camping in our 70's!!)Perfect place to stay if you love Georgia O'Keeffe. You see the environment which inspired her. Easy access to Ghost Ranch and her home and studio. The Sierra Negra Cafe has delicious food at a reasonable price. (Great for vegetarians.)So glad we spent a few days exploring this area.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
