Great campground with wonderful, friendly and helpful hosts! My kids and I stayed 2 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Each sight has a designated trash can which is collected daily, showers and flushing toilets were very close to our site which was convenient. We had reserved site 37 online but Cindy let us switch to site 39 which had more privacy and much better views of the lake! My kids loved the playground and gave my high energy 10 yr old something to do when we weren't down at the lake. One thing to note is there is not much shade, unless you get a site with a pagoda (which aren't very private) so bring a shade canopy or umbrella. All in all a very friendly, safe, clean and beautiful campground that my family will definitely come visit again!

Overall a beautiful place to be in Nature, what with the expansive views and the Lake. The hosts are uniformly wonderful. If I have one complaint it's that there is virtually no shade in the Puerco Loop campground, while there are shade structures in the other, main camp loop. Be prepared to create your own shade.

The site hosts were fanatic. Made bringing out Cub Scout pack a breeze!

We chose this place to see the homes of Georgia OKeeffe. Was a very nice campground, very well maintained and super friendly hosts. The suggested hiking trails are easy to walk and well kept.

Normally we chose an electric site, however all these sires were occupied. We reserved a dry camp site and was very pleased. Very clean, wonderful view of the lake and very quiet. The camp round is central to many great places to visit. Do not miss Plaza Blanca and the Muslim Mosque. The camphosts are very welcoming and ready to help if needed. All in all a great area.

Lovely and quiet. Yearly algae bloom kept us out of the water of the reservoir, but the Rio Chama Rec Area was lovely.

Well maintained and beautiful setting. This park was extremely clean and well designed. The camp hosts were some of the best we have had in any park.

I was pretty amazed at the cost and quality of this campsite, along with the customer service from the attendant/host who helped us. This was an excellent spot for us- especially we recommend site #39. what a dreamy place at sunset!

Amazingly well kept (and rare) US Army Corps of Engineers run campground! Bathrooms (i.e. pit toilets) were immaculate and always stocked with TP. While the shower facility was VERY nice to have, it's quite small (two stalls in the male shower room) and the drainage for these showers needs improvement (the floor outside the showers was always "flooded" and gross due to dust and dirt). I'd definitely take this, though, over no shower facility :)
