Probably the friendliest, professional employees anywhere. Plus a very nice, quiet and well kept park.

Always enjoy Davis Bayou Campground. However this time we invited another couple who were reluctant to come because there are no full hookups. We informed them about the immaculate restrooms and bath house we are accustomed to. Unfortunately the showers were filthy this time with what looked like black mold on the walls.

Beautiful campground! Great place to bike, walk and just relax at the campsite. The ranger told us about El Patron Mexican Restaurant. We went there and it was great food and service. We will definitely camp here again. The bayou is amazing. Maybe next time we'll bring kayaks. The boat ramp was very nice. The park is very well cared for.

Great campground. Clean spacious and quiet. Our site #16 was level left to right but 6 drop over 27 feet front to back. No problem though. Easy access to Ocean Springs. Check out French Hermit Oysters!

Hosts were excellent.Although sites are rated for tents, the sites we occupied were not accommodating for tents. We have a very small footprint tent and it was very difficult to find a space for it. Uneven ground; very limited ground space for tent=pegs.We needed to book sites for 2 nights. Unfortunately there were only 1-nights available. So we booked a night, then moved all our gear the next day to another site. It was disappointing the next day to see that no-one had arrived at the previous night site. We find this happens a lot. Possibly people are booking entire blocks of days without an actual plan to accommodate the site. We are aware some places impose penalties for non-arrivals. I guess the park gets it's overnight fees whether people arrive or not, but it is too bad that people who need a site often can't find one.

This is a primarily RV campground that is clean, strict, well-lit, and organized. If that is what you are looking for, then this is ideal. If you are wanting something more rustic with private slots, night sky, this is not the best choice for that purpose. We were just passing through and brought our small camper and it was perfect for what we needed. All the perimeter spots back up onto the marsh/bayou so we tried to face our chairs in that direction away from campers for our morning coffee so we could feed more secluded. We did bring a truck and it barely fit in the allowable space due to the odd angle. The first day, we had one tire spilled literally an inch into the side of the concrete drive and we were given a warning note from management about keeping tires on the pavement only. Our campsite was 45 and is one of three very small slots, 30 feet total, which is why we had space challenges. We corrected our wheel spillage, but it wasn't an easy parking situation. The best camping slots were 35, 36, and 38 that all three had private picnic tables behind the campers with a much more rustic and secluded feel. Overall it was a great experience. We hiked all the trails and enjoyed the Visitors Center. We rented ebikes from Ocean Springs and traveled the coast, including the Walter Anderson art museum (highly recommend). We drove to the locations for the Sandhill Cranes at the refuge North of Ocean Springs and it was a great experience too. So hopeful these areas stay protected with skilled scientists/researchers, and offices not closed. Once we lose public land or natural resources--getting them back isn't that easy.

Great location for site #5 near the bathrooms. Lots of open space for those who want to explore. The paved road made for a good hike to the water and pier. Spots are more on the closer side compared to other campgrounds I've been to. The great news is that everyone was very friendly and respectful of each other.

Excellent time thanks to the great park ranger, Patty and the super cool camp hosts Barb (aka Edith) and Archie Prince. They made our visit there so fun! Meeting new people along the way is half the fun of traveling and camping! Until another time..

The bathhouse needs some serious work. The shower walls are covered in mildew and there is no ventilation. One of the removable show handles was broken and secured to the pole with a zip tie !??? The ladies bathroom had 3 stalls and 1 was missing a door and thus not operable. Another safety concern is the height of the asphalt pads versus the grade next to them. It was a good 5-6 inches- a hazard for tripping, falling, breaking your ankle which is exactly what happened to the camper next to us... the women fell off the lip and broke her foot.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
