Very nice but the sites are short. Showers could use some painting.

We enjoy this park camp. Restrooms and showers are kept clean. So are the sites and tables, including the new fire rings. The water and electrical connections seemed maintained and safe. The host and ranger Patty are personable and friendly as well as informed and in charge. The camp is small but well maintained. We always enjoy our stay.

We had a great time even with the rain our first three nights, this was not our first go round staying here we have stayed at this campground 4 times total at different times of the year but this was our first time to run into problems with the campground ranger ,we had took our grandkids here for there first camping trip out of state,so on the fourth night we decided to let the 8 year old and 9 year old sing karaoke and our 3 year old was very interested in them singing we were having a good ole time till the park ranger came and asked us if we could turn it down that neighbors were complaining get this its 8pm we still had 2 more hours till 10 which is supposed to be quiet time it frustrated us all so bad that we canceled the next night unkind of this plus it was a Friday night ,I mean come on people loosen up a little and let kids enjoy there selves ,this right here has made us not to want to ever go back and get this its been over 2-3 years and they still have not fixed one of the bridges walking trail through the bay thats redicoulous Im sorry but I had to vent and get this off my shoulder.it was a very nice place to go up until this happened to us.we are supposed to have fun when we go camping but not here not anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!yall can keep your Davis bayou.its not for us . But definitely use to be.

Small but nice park. Campsites are fairly close together and driveways are rather short. Its nicely located on very bikeable routes. We enjoyed our trip very much and would probably go again. All that said we did find that the Ranger was not very friendly nor helpful. Very different from our experiences at other COE parks.

1. Having to check in at main office with a 40 foot 5th wheel that had to be parked so we could go into the office and our site # could not even be confirmed.2. Truck had to be parked away from camp site due the site being too short & not able to park on uncut grass. Fire pit had tall grass around it & nasty. Thank goodness we brought our own grill. 3. Gate code didn't work for a few days. 4. Ranger stopped to ask if we were cutting trees because he saw our ladder out where we had hung lights on the awning. We were very disappointed with the park & all the rules. We are not planning to return. Having family camped across from us was the only enjoyment we had.
