Very quiet despite it being full of campers. People were friendly and respectful. At night I did make a mistake on feeding 1 little raccoon because next think you know he brought his whole family they left us alone once they realized the food was gone and didnt bother us after that.

Great place to stay and great people who operate and take care of the place. Ive stayed there the past few months in August of this year and last year. Each time its been great

Helpful host and excellent ranger at the campground. The visitor centers ranger knew local history of the forts all along the coastline. I learned some things from him.

The camp host was rude and inappropriate when we checked in. She set the tone for the entire stay and I doubt if I will come back.

Beautiful park and well maintained. Parking for a second vehicle (in addition to a camper) would be nice. Also a fish cleaning station down by the boat launch would be a nice addition.

Two entrys, large rigs choose wisly, first of your side is on the main road side, second of further from the main road.

Never knew this awesome little campsite existed! Great location and very quiet and outer sites offering great shade! RV Hookups were in perfect location and dump station onsite. Only reason this is getting 4 stars and not 5 is due to the following: there were a lot of the "boardwalks" closed and not usable due to safety issues. Second reason, we were "gotten onto by the camp host "because our vehicle was off the pavement by a tire length in the gravel. We were advised that NO Portion of the vehicle could be on the gravel and would have to move our vehicle to the overflow parking about 300 yards away. When choosing a site here make sure that you are adding the length of your vehicle into the length of your rig to make sure you have more than enough room.

Love this campground. (Except when the snowbirds fill it up and we can't get in). The park ranger (Patty)is NOT VEERY FRIENDLY. Answers questions, does her job - just not friendly.

New asphalt on roads and sites, Very nice quiet park and we really enjoyed our stay. Rangers and camp hosts make sure everyone is following the rules and are very polite but I believe thats why Davis Bayou is top notch! Cant wait to go back in May!!

Ce State Parck est frachement rnov !Tous les emplacement, blocs sanitaires et infrastructures neuf!Sentier de marche, mise l'eau et air de pick-nic trs bien. Alligator et tortue en qualit !Attention de ne pas arriver avant le check-in. Ici on respecte les heures!J'y reviendrai assurment. Piste cyclable proximit aussi.

Ive stayed here at least a dozen times and this visit was the first after the roads and sites have been overlaid. Grounds are kept nice and showers and restrooms are clean. Great value for the money spent.

Very nice campground. Large area for each campsite. Just a few minutes and you can be at a store. Nice quiet and safe place to camp.

Over all, it was nice. Plenty of wildlife to enjoy. The employees and staff were cordial and kind. The downside, with the amount of flies! You couldn't step out of your tent in the morning for a cup of coffee without a hundred flies trying to help you drink it. We Kept our camp clean, garbage picked up, everything washed every morning but still the flies were resilient.
My other point to make would be to read all your confirmation emails thoroughly and no your gate code before you come back after dark and struggle to find it later cuz it's very fine print at the very bottom of one of the confirmation emails.

Campsite next to us had a dog inside their camper that barked constantly when the owners were not inside. This should not be permitted.
