Beautiful shady campsites with excellent walking trails along paths and the road. Clean sites and clean bathrooms. We stay here every year and the highlight of our trip is Ranger Patty Kuehn. Of course she checks us in and lets us know where to look for birds,. But the most fun is that our spoiled dog absolutely loves her! As Ranger Patty is out cleaning campsites getting ready for new campers (singing and dancing as she goes!) she always takes a quick minute to let our puppy know that shes the queen of the campground! SO Much FUN!!

Ive been camping six months of each year for the past six years and this is one of the nicest and best campgrounds I have had the privilege to camp in. It is very clean with roomy paved sites and the campground is an excellent place to ride your bike. Lots of wildlfe to view and the visitor center is fabulous. Ocean Springs is a sweet little town and only a short bike ride from the campground. The camp host gave me a map of bike route into town. Verizon cell service is good, showers are clean and camp hosts are super nice. From my perspective, the only negative is that I could never tolerate the hot humid Mississippi weather in the summer so late fall and spring time are best for those who are not tolerant to hot humid weather. If you have the national Park senior pass, the nightly rate is a bargain at $11 a night. I highly recommend.

We completely enjoyed our time at Davis Bayou Campground. Staff and hosts are so helpful and friendly. We went on the free kayak tour of the bayou led by the visitors center team. It is a great location for riding bicycles into Ocean Springs and along the beach. We look forward to our next trip.

We loved it there. Our site was lovely. We got visited by a turtle. Very bold. Made our dog a bit crazy. The Visitor Center was very nice. We enjoyed biking around.

A bit crowded and quite urban. The campground is well kept and laid out, it's just for a different style of recreation than I favor as I don't own a 10m long RV.

Davis Bayou is a beautiful National Park Campground. The sites were level, my site, #18 was just long enough for my 26rl 5th wheel and pick up. Each site had a fire pit and picnic table. I was backed into the woods and we did have a visit from some rascally Raccoons trying to grab a bag off the picnic table. I visited the viewing area but never saw the resident Alligator. We took a drive up to Laurel, be sure to eat at Pearl's Diner. Another ride to Pascagoula to visit the Maritime Museum, check out the houses along the waterfront and even stopped by Jimmy Buffets childhood home. Stopped and bought some shrimp and grabbed a bite to eat at Bozo's Grocery and Grill. Excellent selection of seafood in their Fish Market. Be sure to visit the National Parks Gulf Shore Visitor Center. The Camp Hosts and the two National Park Rangers in the campground were wonderful and very helpful. I would make this a must stop if you are near Ocean Springs, MS.

Davis Bayou Campground was phenomenal and it was our first official campsite with our new Airstream Basecamp! Beautiful grounds - very nicely maintained.

Full hookups, very clean showers and flushing toilet facilities - centrally located.

Site 18 was in a beautiful little area of the park.

Everything is either accessible to walk or bike. There is a pier and nice park just a short walk away.

We lucked out on the weather and had a few hours of rain over the course of our three day stay.

The Shed BBQ is only about 8 miles away and a must if you want amazing southern BBQ - Ribs to die for! We were lucky to be there over the weekend and in crawfish season so that was a second visit and one of our favorite meals ever!

There are a lot of restaurants and other things nearby - Wal-Mart, Starbucks, Whataburger, Sonic

Add this to your list of must visit parks - you won't be disappointed!

Nice park for short stay. No full hookup, water, and electric, no sewer connection. Black water tank can handle several days, ok. But gray water fills up quickly without being able to dump it. Shower house very clean, but if not very careful everything gets wet. Will still go again. Will be nicer once all storm damage gets repaired.

Stayed on site 18 (tent, small loop area): Clean bathrooms, check-in process was easy and the site was pretty good for our tent; we had cots, so the slope/gravel wasn't too much of an issue. Easy access to bike riding around the area, out to the visitor center, into Ocean Springs, around neighborhoods. Very nice nature walk just out of the campground driveway. Lots of people - it was full - but still quiet during the day and at night.
