The hosts were amazing. Words can not express how caring they were in diligently helping myself and my mother in securing a spot to stay. Our AC would not cool and my 87 year old mom was struggling with the heat index. Your amazing hosts helped us with finding a shaded spot as well made sure we were hydrated and made my mom an egg salad sandwich. Words cannot express how grateful we are having them welcoming us into Davis B.

Great national park campground in close proximity to restaurants, food stores, beaches, casinos (if you're into that kind of thing), museums, entertainment, festivals -- so much to ee and do!

This is a safe quiet park, with beautiful grounds. Shady areas in the back loop.

This is NOT one of our favorite campgrounds. Our site was horribly unlevel. The camp host ranger is gruff, not friendly. The general area it is in is too populated and just not a restful place. The showers were awful in how they are designed. Nowhere to dress or put on your clothes where you’re not standing in a puddle of water. A pretty miserable place, compared to others we’ve visited.

We stayed here two weeks and had a wonderful experience. Wildlife all around us. A lot of space between camp sites. We will definitely return. The park ranger was friendly and helpful.

CHECK IN: Very easy, hosts greet you and give you directions to your spot. We had a 40' fifth wheel and got in a back in spot fairly easy. Stayed for one week.
LOCATION: Liked that we felt we were in a forest with nature, yet close access to restaurants and shopping.
RESTAURANTS: Only tried a couple because we prefer to cook ourselves. Highly recommend El Saltillo Mexican restaurant next door to campground. Superb salsa and food!! Also tried the Diners and Dive food network The Shed barbecue. Quirky fun vibe. Food was pricey, ok tasting, I've had better barbq being from Texas. ;)
TO DO: Fish, walk, kayak, bike, explore. We did day trips to Gulfport, Biloxi & Dauphin Island. We golfed one day in Pascagoula.
Probably our favorite daily thing to do while visiting this CG has been riding our bikes from our campsite to East and Front Beach Streets which is only 3.5-4 miles away. 🚴 🏖
These two particular streets are more residential with piers, wide sidewalks & many B&B’s nearby. We have enjoyed just hanging out on this stretch of beach, watching the birds & various boats go by. The white sand is powder soft and surprisingly clean. There is parking on both streets if you want to take chairs and just enjoy the beach area on those streets. We had kayaks but never put them in because we ran out of time, but there is places right at the campground you can put in at.
Last tip: Go walk the big pier at Davis Bayou to watch the sun set.
Bring bug spray, those little noseeums were out in the afternoon end of March when we were there & those things bite!

Very nice and roomy campground, yet small and nicely wooded. Would definitely return.
