We had a great trip. We had a great site and it was close to the bathrooms. The bathrooms were definitely one of the cleaner bathrooms. We enjoyed a ranger talk at the amphitheater. The town just up the road is full stocked with what you need for a quick trip to the store and firewood. During our registration process there was a nice table set up with everything you could need to know about the area. The cell service was hit or miss just depended on the time of day. Our site was nice and private for us. We had people on either side of us but never had issue with noise.

lovely, quiet, peaceful, well maintained campground with large sites and good space between with a good amount of privacy plus trails for walking and biking - as long as your fellow campers are respectful you will have a good stay - the only improvement i might want to suggest would be the addition of showers

The campground lay out provides most sites with a wonderful degree of privacy. It's winding roads reduce sight lines between each campsite, yet designed for easy access for vehicles to hard level spaces. The NP service provides campers unlimited cut, dry and split firewood, reducing scavenging for firewood and maintaining the pristine forest view. The fire pits unfortunately lack grates for campers desiring that experience. The National Park Visitor Map and the Schoodic Loop Road lack adequate details for a one way road. There's no distance reference or pull out number sequence along the roadway nor the NP Visitor Map. Roadside trailhead markers, while aesthetically pleasing, are too small, almost hidden and poorly placed. The Schooner Institute section of the NP map requires much more detail for the maze of roads and buildings.

I love going at the end of May and mid September when it is cool and there are fewer people. I take my bike and do the 12 mi loop twice a day!

Schoodic Woods is a beautiful well maintained campground. The sites are well spaced and a short walk to the bath houses.

The campground was clean and well maintained. Sites are spacious and have sections of trees and bushes between sites to give some privacy. The campground was very quiet and relaxing.

Schoodic Woods is a lovely campground and the peninsula has some good hiking and biking trails that link up with the campground. Unfortunately, several of the mens' bathrooms had one stall unavailable, perhaps due to the severe cut in federal funding that is needed for maintenance and much more in all our national parks.

No hot water to wash your hands in restrooms. Not very sanitary. No showers either. What a shame

Beautiful, peaceful campground with spacious campsites, nice restrooms and good access to trails. We are so fortunate to have the National Parks and Forests for all to enjoy. Help protect them.

What a beautiful campground! We had back-in site B28 and it was so large and level and private. We had enough room to set up our canopy and to park our tow vehicle with not problem. We loved it -- bigger is definitely better! The bathrooms in the loop were always SO clean and the dumpsters for garbage were placed conveniently. The campground was spaced so that we didn't feel crowded and all the magnificent trees provided for a quiet, peaceful stay. We truly enjoyed our 2 weeks. We will be back!!!

The campground is very well maintained. Fairly level sites, well shaded. While you are close to your neighbors, the way the sites are shaped, you still have a great deal of privacy. The bath rooms are very clean, and spacious. While there are no showers most people are already aware of that. The staff, and the campground hosts are wonderful. Very helpful, and very friendly. The best part of my trip was staying in schoodic.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
