This is one of the cleanest and most private campgrounds I have had the privilege of visiting. Even though it is large, the way the sites have been designed makes it feel like you are there by yourself.

Beautiful campground. Friendly staff. A welcome sanctuary from the madness on Mount Desert Island. The bike riding around the peninsula was also outstanding.

This is by far the best of the three campgrounds in Acadia if you camp with an RV.

Very quiet campground with good spacing between sites. It was built 10 yrs ago, so everything is new and in good order. The free shuttle makes it workable for the few of us with small RVs-no tow/pull vehicle or bicycles. Taking the ferry (fog permitting) allows a brief visit to Bar Harbor. The hiking trails are great, and can be quite strenuous or easy when combined with the gravel bike paths, and, since the loop road is 2 lanes but one way, quite safe to walk in the reverse direction.Of course everyone wonders why the Park service didnt designed hot water & showers in the comfort stations.Since there is only 1 dump station which is combined with the water spigot for those in non serviced campsites, the line up in the morning can get longer than expected. Best to pull ahead if just filling with water.

This is a lovely, quiet, clean campground. The hosts helped immediately when our electrical outlet didn't seem to work. (It DID work; we just didn't quite understand the printed instructions for use, which could've been clearer.) The hikes are well-marked and the bike trails are pristine.

The campground is clean, well maintained, and quiet. Our site was beautiful, felt remote while only being about a short hike to camp. The trail had lots of roots and rocks, so we opted to leave our cooler in the car. Our 4 person Coleman tent fit perfectly on the platform and the bear box was a nice option for storing food/scented items overnight. The bathrooms were super clean, and there was a dish washing sink and food disposal on the outside. The only downside is the campground is about a 60 min drive to MDI, where many of Acadia's main attractions are.

Beautiful campground!! Quiet and well spaced. Extremely clean all around:). This is absolutely beautiful!!! Definitely check out the Schoodic Point area of Acadia- it is amazing:). Would stay here again in a heart beat!!Only downside is there is no hot water at the dish cleaning station:)

Beautiful, quiet, vegetated sites. Clean and modern bathrooms. Nice hikes in walking distance. Try to time your stay for blueberry season (early August).

This is our second trip to Schoodic Woods campground. I love this area so much that I could live there. The campground has nice large private sites. The restrooms are exceptionally clean.

This is probably the nicest, most private, quietest and most beautiful campground around. The bathrooms were very clean. Will definitely go back! This campground does not sell firewood though, so you have to buy it outside of the national park, but fairly close by. Can't bring wood from a far distance away. There are plenty of private people selling on the main routes.

Bathrooms were in excellent condition, and the campsite was well-maintained. Stars were beautiful at night as well. No complaints!
@JohnM1144946 · Camped on Jun 27, 2025 at Campsite #A40
The campground itself is beautiful. The reason for the one star is for the crazy rules and people that enforce them. We had a privacy tent that we were storing gear and they actually left a citation creating a new category saying no shower like structures allowed. Looked at the real rules and saw no such thing. Sounds like Dodge needs to do some more work.

Well laid out campground, nice separation between sites.Helpful staff at office.Schoodic Peninsula has activities, including the Schoodic Institute visitors center, where we went twice. Schoodic Point is a wonderful spot to visit.One magical day we took bus from campground to ferry, rode that to Bar Harbor, rented e-bikes and rode these on the carriage roads in the MDI section of park. Highly recommended!

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
