Campground was super tidy and clean. Check in process was very easy. Unlike a KOA, this is a dark sky campground. So string lights are prohibited. Other than a campfire, sites are kept dark and with good reason. When you look up, the stars are unbelievable! The night sky is so clear here, you'll easily see satellites. Highly recommend this place and we will absolutely be back.

Check in process was easy! The people working there, and the volunteers, were very friendly and helpful. We LOVED our campsite! Very private and quiet. The bathrooms and dishwashing facilities were clean and in good working order. Would definitely return.

A nice nice campsite, the electric was a plus, to charge our mobile phones. Super quiet, quaint and clean leveled for our tent. Brand new! The bathrooms are immaculate and the openness of the place. allowed us to see. the stars at night. a world away from the buzz of tourist. Love it.

Come and enjoy the quietest campground in Acadia National Park. We had a clear night and were able to shoot some photos on the Milky Way, have a good fire, and take advantage of the clean restrooms. In addition the available wifi was very helpful as we continued to plan our trip and check weather. Great Campsite, the Schoodic Peninsula is amazing!

We LOVED this campground. It was quiet, private, restrooms were super clean and up-to-date. Check-in process was organized, quick, and pleasant, despite the COVID-19 restriction of only allowing a couple people into the ranger station at one time. This campground is far enough away from the main part of Acadia National Park that there are no crowds or chaos, which we have found at Blackwoods and Seawall Campgrounds. Yet it was still close enough to the park that we could drive there in a reasonable amount of time for hiking, etc. We also found a ferry, which was very close by, brought us into Bar Harbor for a day of sight-seeing. The ferry ride added a whole other dimension to our trip. The captain's wife acted as an excellent nature guide. She even taught us about the lobstering industry, which was very interesting!

We found the campground to be exceptional - quiet, clean, lots of trees between tent camping sites. Rangers told us no bright lights at night like Tiki torches or Christmas lights in order to keep the night skies dark. Star gazing was phenomenal. We really enjoyed riding our bicycles on the 2 lane one-way section of the road in which no RVs or trailers were allowed. So enjoyable to watch the surf crash on the rocks at Schoodic Point.

Just loved the place. Acadia NP is stunning, the campgrounds are very well organized and the facilities clean. The rangers were wicked nice to us too and happy to share the most beautiful views of the park.
