The ranger was knowledgeable and helpful when we inquired about the laws that applied to digging clams in the park, and, yes, you do need a permit from the town!Otherwise, the bathrooms were always clean and neat, and the campsites were as well!

This was my first visit to the quieter places in Acadia. At night from my campsite at Seawall, I could hear both the crackling of my fire and the waves on the shore. Things to note about site A21: The fireplace needs to be put back together. I was unable to determine whether its disassembly was due to natural weathering or human intervention, but that needs fixing.Of concern to campers who intend to sleep in their vehicle is the lack of a level area accessible to a car. I had intended to test sleeping in my minivan instead of my tent one night, but two large stones block a car from getting to the only level area in site A21. The tent site is nice and level, though.

Absolutely beautiful place, the campground is great with spacious and private sites. The proximity to the sea wall is perfect and I stayed an extra night because this whole area was my favorite in all the park. Would love to see hot showers added but they are not a deal breaker.

Had the best time at Seawall!! Not too far from anything and a gorgeous drive in. Very well maintained sites and facilities.

Clean fairly well kept. One lonely ranger at the gate. Did not see any other anywhere. Budget cuts are obvious (sad). No showers in the campground but one storefront about 1/2 a mile down the road claims to have showers. Did not try it

Staff was friendly and park was clean.

Great campground, quiet, close to the ocean and clean bathrooms.

We were in C Loop, which has small, pull-through sites. Fortunately the neighbors were quiet enough that we didnt mind. Bathroom buildings were not very old and were very clean (no showers). The nearby picnic area and National Park trails at the shore are terrific! While this area gets a lot of use, it is not nearly as crowded as the Bar Harbor area.

This campground was great! Gate to campground is no distance at all, road up to the campground is stunning, and the picnic area across the road is spectacular for watching sunrises or stargazing! The only negative I have is the style of fire pit at this campground is not easy to make use of, especially if you need to take the grate on and off while a fire is on. In that regard, I prefer the style of firepit they have at Blackwoods Campground, but this campground has Blackwoods beat in every other regard!

Nice camp sites with good facilities. Running water toilets, but no showers. At night, you can hear the waves crashing near by. You can also get a great sunrise at the Seawall (within walking distance).

We stayed at site B13, and it was absolutely fantastic. While some of the sites are right by the road, others are more secluded, tucked into the forest. Our spot was one of the latter, offering a peaceful escape without any cars passing by. Plus, it was close enough to the sea that we could hear the waves (and the distant bells) at night. Such a perfect place to unwind.

Our trip to Seawall was amazing! The staff was friendly and the sites and grounds were so well kept an clean! Close proximity to all of what Acadia has to offer! We'll be back!

I was disappointed with my neighbors were quite noisy and disruptive, and even walked through my campsite to get to the restroomother than that, it was oksure wish there was electric and showers!!

Perfectly located with the surf sounds emanating. A short walk to the beach, makes Seawall Campground the best!

Nice campground, bathrooms were very clean, and staff were friendly. I wish the bathrooms had hand soap (only sanitizer was available) and there were showers to use, we made due with a solar shower even though they technically arent allowed for whatever reason. We stayed for a week so not showering was not an option. Booking a site was exceedingly difficult, which I cant comprehend because during the whole 7 days we stayed at the campground, there were tons of sites that were never once occupied! If you dont mind using a solar shower and you get lucky enough to book a site here, it is a nice place to camp right near the ocean.

Well maintained and beautiful...A20 was a spacious campsite for our family of 5. We had a 6 person tent as well as a pop up camper.3 walled fire pits are large enough to have a great camp fire while protecting the surroundings. Very close proximity to water supply and bathrooms. Bathrooms were clean with flushable toilets and sinks. Within walking distance to the beach. Local business's are well stocked offering coin operated showers and camp firewood.Acadia is a beautiful National park with tons to offer. Some of the best hiking for all levels of experience. Fishing, kayaking and swimming are all options for people that love the outdoors.Great place to visit!

Liked the whole shuttle service. Wished the shuttle went down to the lighthouse, but only stopped at the nearby campgound. (Would have been nice to know the walking distance from the drop off to the lighthouse). Park was clean, but was noisy at night with a group that was hollering and carrying on. Bathroom was very nice.

Campsite was well maintained and private. The only downside is that the site is not shaded, so if you are at your campsite from 9AM-5PM you will most likely be in the sun! Can't wait to visit Seawall again and Acadia NP! It was a great week and our family loved the campground.
@KristenGB72E36 · Camped on Jul 28, 2025 at Campsite #A33
The site was private and the driveway was long and level. However, it was covered in biting ants. And the grass was long, especially in the driveway, so I was worried about ticks. The campground seems to be 10 degrees hotter than the surrounding area. We really enjoyed this side of Mount Desert Island, but I dont think I would stay at Seawall again.
@NoraSD3980E80F · Camped on Jul 27, 2025 at Campsite #A11
Well maintained and clean campground and restrooms. Peaceful walk to the Seawall picnic area for sunrise and exploring tide pools. Close to all Acadia NP and MDI have to offer.

Could not have loved our time at the Seawall Campground more! Very quiet and peaceful grounds, many of the campsites, including ours, seem quite secluded and set apart from each other, which is very important to us. And the campground is beautiful! The firepit was amazing, the nicest I've ever used at a campground. The bathroom facilities were well kept and in good condition. You can walk to the ocean in under 10 minutes!
@LindseyP710116 · Camped on Jul 25, 2025 at Campsite #A28
We appreciated the quiet atmosphere, clean facilities, and nice staff. However, watch out for the fire ants! I got bit twice within the e first three hours we were there. The rocky coastline was within walking distance which was nice. I had little to no reception (Verizon) but we drove into town for most things. All in all, a solid camping experience.

Fantastic location to the south side of Acadia.

Clean, almost level campsite. Lacking privacy and was a little loud.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
