Beautiful site located on a scenic road overlooking the ocean. Will be back!

This was my first visit to the quieter places in Acadia. At night from my campsite at Seawall, I could hear both the crackling of my fire and the waves on the shore. Things to note about site A21: The fireplace needs to be put back together. I was unable to determine whether its disassembly was due to natural weathering or human intervention, but that needs fixing.Of concern to campers who intend to sleep in their vehicle is the lack of a level area accessible to a car. I had intended to test sleeping in my minivan instead of my tent one night, but two large stones block a car from getting to the only level area in site A21. The tent site is nice and level, though.

Lovely campground, hosts were friendly, and all facilities in working order, although they are minimal (no showers + bring your own hand soap). Sites are close together, so not every spot has privacy, but quiet hours were respected. My favorite part was walking across the road to the Seawall picnic area to see the water.

For some reason it will not let me select any of the rating on the previous page, but my overall experience at Seawall Campground was excellent. We did a number of hikes around the campground and the picnic location directly across from the Seawall is amazing. There is a small camping store nearby that has hot showers that take quarters to use.

Make sure to bring cash for firewood sold on the side of the road all the way into the campground. It is sprinkled with small towns, restaurants, gas stations and little shops. Be on the lookout for wildlife. Peaceful and serene. Cant wait to go back.
