A great campsite! We stayed at A2 and really enjoyed it. Loved the summit to Wheeler Peak. Would highly recommend!

Well maintained campground, with sites spaced well apart. Lack of water at the campground was not a big issue as there was a supply 1.5 miles away.

Great Basin is always a wonderful and magical place.Grey Cliffs campground isnt on the main path making it a tranquil option.

This is a beautiful and serene campground. However I would not recommend site A10 as there was no tent pad whatsoever. There was one clearing that was not flat and had some pretty big rocks that wouldnt be comfortable to sleep on, and another cleared spot that would only fit a bivy. We had to set up our tent in the parking spot of the site. The parking spot was large enough to fit 2 cars and a 2 person tent.

Grey Cliffs is a great campsite not too far from the visitor center (yay for being on time to cave tours, ranger talks, etc.). We booked a group site, C1, and it didn't feel like we had neighbors at all on our loop. The stream nearby provided great water sounds. While camping without potable water can be intimidating, water is accessible at the visitor center and hand-washing water is available at the RV dump site not too far away. The dropper toilet was clean and stocked with toilet paper. For $30/day for a group site, it was a great price and a great experience!

Nice campground. Sites are spaced out a good bit from each other. Hot during summer days but cools off quickly once the sun goes down. However the map provided is misleading. I booked this site (A4) expecting it to be next to the creek and parallel to site A3 as shown on map. In reality it is across the road from site A3 and not next to the creek.

As another review noted, site A10 is very small. We had enough room for our hatchback and a 3 person tent on the gravel "driveway." Our friend's one person tent fit fine in the brush around the campsite. Would not recommend for a larger tent but had no complaints. There is very little shade, it would be wise to bring a canopy if you have one!

Not any shade at this campsite. It was almost impossible to stay there from 12-4. It probobly isn't as bad in the winter but for summer I wouldn't camp here again.
@WayneG3279296 · Camped on Jul 26, 2025 at Campsite #A4/4
The campground was nice and quiet overall. Shade was only partial,so a canopy would be recommended. The vault toilets were clean,though there were a lot of flies.
@AshleyM6190418 · Camped on Jul 25, 2025 at Campsite #A3/3
Overall it was a nice campground. The road out was a little rough, but overall not too bad. NO RUNNING WATER AT ALL and pit toilets. The actual tent pads are absurdly small.

Very clean campground. There is no camp host so I wasnt sure how well maintained the campground would be, but it was immaculate. There is no shade or shrubs to provide privacy. The camo sites are big so ut did not feel overly exposed and there were no neighbors close by. Very quiet and pleasant stay.

The campsites were gorgeous- lovely setting by the cliffs and creek, tons of plants and trees. The toilets were pristine!

We camped at group camp sites C1 and C2. They were very clean and nice. The bathrooms were clean also. Over all, it was a great camp ground. Nice and quiet with a cute little stream to listen to.

The park is beautiful with a lot of hiking trails. We had a beautiful creek running behind our camp site ( A2 ) at Gray Cliffs that sounded great. Did not get a chance to tour the cave, unfortunately my wife got sick and we had to go back after day. I would love to go back. July was hot in day time and fairly cold at night.

Its a good spot, you should camp there.
@EmilyL7699802 · Camped on Jul 10, 2025 at Campsite #C1/1
Beautiful area and plenty of space for tents. Also had two picnic tables, a few fire rings, and a clean and well maintained vault toilet near. We were near a creek and that was lovely too! We really loved the area, it was quiet and peaceful and enough room for the 16 of us.

The caves were greatHowever the campsite I reserved and paid $40 for was terrible. It was in Grey Cliffs Loop A Site A10. So small I couldnt get my vehicle AND my tent in the site. I had to leave the park and find a motel. I never expected to get ripped off at a National Park like that. Very disappointed

No paved roads, no water, very dusty. Don't recommend.

Campsite wsa great - large enough to accommodate a group of 8, pit toilet access was close, enough shade to stay cool, great night skies, and easy access. Really enjoyed our stay.The night sky program at the amphitheater was awesome. The equipment was great, the rangers were so knowledgable and informative, and the sights of the universe were amazing.

Great campsite! Loved being close to the bathrooms, it was quiet, great loop for walking, campsite was large. We loved how you could see the stars so well at night. It was truly a beautiful campground and wonderful national park! If it is on your list it is worth it!

Grey cliffs is an option but dont expect much. Great basin is a wonderful place, this campground desperately needs upgrades!
@CathyE007326DF · Camped on Jun 9, 2025 at Campsite #A8/8
This basic campground had everything need to be comfortable. Pretty view of cliffs, clean restrooms. I knew to bring my own water after reading my reservation need-to-know notes. The dirt/gravel road to get here can be driven by any vehicle.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
