Sites are very well-spaced, quiet, and reasonably private for an NPS campground. The tent pad for site A3 was too sloped and curved to comfortably pitch my small two-person backpacking tent. Instead, I set up the tent at the end of the long driveway, which was flat and less exposed, with more trees. Even in autumn, Baker Creeks soothing flow can be heard, though not seen, through the vegetation to the north of the site. The lower restroom across from A1 was too engulfed in flies to use, but the vault toilets at the upper end of the loop were fine. A couple miles away, water was available outside the visitor center, which is cashless.

Great Basin NP is lovely and I hear that Grey Cliffs is generally a great campground. However, when we were there, the stench of the outhouses was overwhelming. Something was very wrong. The stench was not only in the outhouse itself, but all over the campground. We noticed that it was only the outhouses in Grey Cliffs that had this issue. Not sure what was wrong but sure do hope it gets addressed.

Very basic campground with some sites being fairly small. Most sites are close together. Some have no shade at all. Didn't stay for my second night because I found some awesome free sites on the other side of the park.

Overall it was a nice campground. The road out was a little rough, but overall not too bad. NO RUNNING WATER AT ALL and pit toilets. The actual tent pads are absurdly small.

Great campground even without potable water- Sites were nice distance apart and good hammock hanging .

This is an excellent campground and national park. Campsites are spacious and setting is beautiful. Sites are rustic, but if are properly prepared it’s a wonderful place to camp and hike.
