We were camped across from the two double camp sites so it was a little noisy past the quiet times but not too bad considering the amount of people. The blue hole was amazing but got pretty busy on the Saturday. Go on the weekdays. Over all a beautiful area to camp.

Great campground with amazing views, hiking trails, river access, and very close to Mt Rainier. No potable water, but that was communicated much ahead of time to easy to plan and bring our own.

Great weekend and campground! Our spot was great, nearest bathroom was clean and majority of the time odor was very minimal. Definitely will be going back and recommending to friends!

Absolutely magical campground. I stayed at site 27A which was situated right on the river. Sites were spacious and felt private. Bathrooms were some of the cleanest pit toilets I've ever seen! Would love to visit again :)

The campground was all be it not as well kept as others in the USFS system. Limited impact felt from lack of water but this issue needs to be addressed. Biggest issue is the bathrooms were ill maintained and the disinfectant overpowered the senses and one could hardly breath. I suspect the product is not being used per instructions. The host camp was unsightly but staff were pleasant. River access good and water great.

Enjoyed our site and stay! Campground seemed to be well maintained and cleaned regularly. The hostess sites need to be cleaned and maintained a little more as they are the first sites you see as you come into the campground and they are in pretty bad shape and cluttered almost into the road. Overall would highly recommend the campground overall.

Campground has many nice sites, some along the river. Nicely spaced apart even when neighbors are visible. The water systems were down and we had to bring our own, not a problem -- this was communicated to us beforehand. Bathrooms were clean and stocked. Very quiet surroundings (and neighbors).

This is a primo campground usually (our family has visited for seven decades) but the fire prohibition including use of campfire rings really impacted the quality of our two night this mid August. There was also no running water due to systems under repair. Even though there was significant rain in the region the previous week the USFS did not lift the prohibition. Perhaps the dry terrain did not show significant enough changes and/or fine tuning of status is not possible). Finally the camp pit toilets are getting quite old and are poorly maintained, leaving a disgusting odor and ambience. All that said, the beauty and history of the locale still made the visit worthwhile.

Our campsite was very spacious, private and right next to the river. A nice short walk to the Blue Hole, a nice swimming hole. The lack of water isnt a big deal because Packwood is a short driving distance in case you run out . All the pit toilets were clean except for the one closest to our campsite. I didnt use it because it was very stinky and the doors didnt lock.

Great place to stay when visiting Rainier NP, especially if you have dogs. Blue Hole for swimming in after a hike was perfect! Easily 10 minutes to Packwood for stocking up on supplies and gas (none available in the park!)

Great campground in a beautiful area. Hope the water problem will be fixed soon.

This was a lovely quiet and clean campground. We brought in our own water which wasn't a problem.NO bugs. Perfect!!

Even though there was no running water, our campsite was private, shady, and cozy (12B). Overall campground has a good design and well maintained. Great place to stage trips to Mt Rainier.

We liked the campground on the weekdays we were there. Large sites with lots of trees & good amount of privacy. However, on Friday & Saturday nights it was extremely noisy. Until 3am lots of partying. The vault toilets were full, smelly, & ran out of toilet paper. This could be a nice campground if the camp host did their job. Not a great sign when the hosts site is itself a mess

Nice and quiet campground, would stay again. The only issue I had was that the bathrooms do not have lights inside, whereas many other campgrounds do. Otherwise, everything else was perfect.

Gorgeous old growth forest with the big Ohanapecosh River running through it. Most camp sites have a LOT of room and undergrowth between sites. During the week it's very quiet and the weekends this year were quiet as well. Any noise was mostly kids and families enjoying the woods. It's a lush place to set a tent or RV, and the air is amazing with evergreen smell.

I loved this forested campground. The sites are nicely spaced. I enjoyed my stay thoroughly!

Lack of water and extremely stinky bathroom made us leave after two days. We forfeited two days of camping. Sad to see how the campground has changed.
@JIMB8977280 · Camped on Jul 28, 2025 at Campsite #16
It is a beautiful location next to a couple of rivers. Campsites are a good size, but there was no water available, nor ability to have campfires. It is not a luxury site, but worked well for us. The Blue Hole is a pretty swimming spot.
@CarolynL507956 · Camped on Jul 25, 2025 at Campsite #16
The campground is overused. Some sign posts didnt have numbers to identify which site. Reservation info hadnt been posted for several days which caused confusion with many campers. Vehicles everywhere.Seemed highly disorganized and the sites were in need of maintenance. Would not stay here again.
@TameraCEC476EC · Camped on Jul 20, 2025 at Campsite #21
Always a pleasure to stay there, reserved a spot to be able to grab a first come first serve spot the next day. Only complaint is the nearest bathroom didnt have a path without going thru someones campsite.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
