Always a pleasure to stay there, reserved a spot to be able to grab a first come first serve spot the next day. Only complaint is the nearest bathroom didnt have a path without going thru someones campsite.

La Wis Wis is a lovely campground set in old growth forest next to a stream. There is swimming at Blue Hole, nearby. The sites vary in size from small to very large but it isn't clear what size they are when you book so be aware.Site 22A is nice but very small. I think it would be good for a single tent. In a pinch, you can put down 3 tents but it is not optimal.

Fantastic stay! Only the sound of other campers generators was a drawback.

We love this campground for all the giant trees and the river with the great blue hole swimming area.. The pit toilets were a little smelly, It would be nice if they would build regular bathrooms with running water.

This is a terrible campground and i don't think anyone should go there when I am there :)

The site is very shaded, it was nice to get out of the heat but a little too dark. The spot for the tent is a little sloped. But close walk to bathroom and river sites.

Campground is in a beautiful setting. Sites are adequately spaced. Bathrooms are pit toilets, most are in good condition. Quiet hours are very limited, allowing people to run generators all day. Campground host is pretty checked out, allowing people to keep their generators running all day without being there.

Nice big sites near river

There was no water supply, so we had to bring our own water and use it sparingly. The clean pit toilet was a long way off...312 steps each way. We weren't really prepared for the several high 80s - low 90s days, so we suffered a bit in the heat. Other than that, we had a wonderful time there.

We love this campground. Our favorite day trips are the Snow & Bench lake hike. Of course all the hikes at Paradise. We also like hiking in to Packwood lake for the day. The Silver Falls loop trail is always amazing and the Grove of the Patriarchs is also worth seeing.

Th campground is in an incredible location! It is really nice to be so close to a gorgeous river and surrounded by the trees and mountain. With that said, they really pack the sites in for a large percentage of the campsite. When you drive through it feels like the sites are on top of each other. There are people constantly riding around on electric bikes and driving remote control cars which makes it feels like less of an escape from the city.The bathrooms in the D loop are pretty old compared to others in the grounds. The windows are both broken and there are flies everywhere. Every morning the toilet paper would be out and it would take hours, often until 12pm, for the staff to come by to clean the bathrooms and restock toilet paper. There also currently isnt any water at the campground and based on reviews it looks like they havent had water in a couple years. Overall, it is nice because the surrounding area is gorgeous but the actual campground could use a little work.

Stayed here many times over the past 40 years. Tent space C-9 is one of the BEST spaces in the entire campground. Secluded space felt very private compared to most other spaces.

Beautiful campsite, right on the river with lots of space and privacy. You can get down to the river on a little dirt slope, that leads to rocks, but the river is still accessible from this site.

This is a serene campground, especially if you get a site right along the river. Beautiful!

I've been going to law wis wis my whole life, ive always loved going, its quiet and clean and safe for my kids to ride their bikes. Normally the campground has water, this year it did not which was only a minor set back. I was a little sad that a lot the little streams/creeks were dried up. Every other camper there was respectful of the campsite rules which is always nice. There are some nice hikes around the area and being only 5 min from Packwood it was convenient to go grab more ice for out cooler. The picnic tables are nice and spacious. The outhouses were clean, the only negative is they get really smelly in the mornings. Overall would recommend

Site A22 was awful. Absolutely no where to put a tent. We had to set up on the pavement driveway. Low branches hanging over the fire pit is a huge fire risk. They were just out of reach, so we couldnt cut them even if we had the tools to. Sites along the A Loop are practically on top of each other, no privacy. The water wasnt working either, which we did get notified ahead of time.

Discovering the Blue Pool in the river was great. The picnic area also looks nice.

We'been here 6+ times and this was one of the best: campfires allowed, beautiful weather, and good friends!Looks like a reconditioned fresh water system is in place and still in wrapping. What's going on? Yes, we can bring our own water, but this second season without water makes me wonder.

Spectacular campground but... the site A28 was reserved for a trailer but was more like a parallel parking spot. Great for tent camping. Then we were told we could not transfer to another spot but needed to pay cash or check for another spot. There is an ATM in the town 10 miles away.That was less than ideal but the campground including Purcell Falls and the Blue Hole are exceptional for small families who enjoy throwing rocks into water.

There was no water, and we had hung a tarp due to rain and were told we had to remove it or be fined. However, our site was large, the person hosting was very kind, the camp was beautiful, and we were very close to rainier national park, so we had a lot of hiking and outdoor options.

Amazing campground despite no water. Campground was clean, bathrooms were close. Big camping spots . Helpful hosts. 2 fun mini hikes from the campground to a small waterfall (Purcell) and an icy cold swimming hole (Blue hole). Magical river running by the campground. campground is about 10 minutes from the entrance gate to Mt Rainier national park

Our family loves camping at La Wis Wis. The hosts this year were friendly, enjoyed chatted with our kids, and kept the bathrooms clean and stocked with t.p. They also took the time to offer us help to put our fire out when we were packing up. From the D loop it took us about 30 minutes to walk to the blue hole. Its worth it! Water is freezing, but its still fun. No water this year, but Packwood is a 10 min drive for cell service & waterSite H11 can accommodate a small tent and there is parking for a trailer/rv. Our 20x20 tent did not fit. We paid for a FF spot in the D loop & requested a refund through the app. The H loop is perfect for small to medium RVs. I love the ease of walking to the blue hole.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
