Road behind site is kinda noisy. Friend complained about it being too far from bathroom. Bathroom is very buggy at night and morning. Kitchen sink is broken. Tent area is suitable for one big tent or two small two persons ones.

Campsites are close together, but good proximity to paradise (20 min drive). Pretty average national Park campground. While my particular site was in the no generator loop, it is very close proximity to the R sites, which do allow generators and are quite loud.

I love this campground! Youre close to all the best parts of the Nisqually entrance side, you have bathrooms, and the price is right! The park staff are friendly and helpful!

I was able to grab a last minute reservation so I could car camp.while visiting the park. The campground was very clean, I had a semi-private lot, it was quiet, the campground ranger was friendly amd helpful, and the views were awesome! I highly recommend this campground if you want to stay in the park for your time there.

We were so lucky to get a spot from a reservation cancellation on the day we made an impromptu trip to Mt. Rainier. The campsites were well maintained. 10 miniutes drive to the Paradise visitor center and multiple sightseeing spots, including Skyline trail, Myrtle Falls etc. Really a pleasant experience.

Nice campground, located in a good spot between Longmire and Paradise. Decent campsites, although a bit close to each other; we had some noisy neighbors one night, but overall very nice.

Great spot. Easy to get to the restroom and water. If the closest bathroom is full, go down a ways and find the 2nd one. It has 2 stalls instead of the 1All in all, we had a good time. Its close to paradise and food at longmire

Wow, we were blown away by this site. It was fantastic and were from Vancouver Island so weve camped a bunch. Huge sites, incredibly clean, absolutely silent, trees provide privacy, clean facilities, toilets, changing table, and sinks. There was a water refilling area at the restroom and each site has its own bear cache. The check in and check out were easy. Pretty great start to a road trip!
@BrennanM3867FA · Camped on Aug 26, 2025
Horrible. No staff at desk, no fires allowed (even though people were having fires next to us), unclean bathrooms.
@AmberC9992904 · Camped on Aug 26, 2025 at Campsite #B11
Fairly spacious site with the tent pad down a bit lower than the picnic area. A short walk to the bathrooms and trash is across the way. Theres a short trail from the campground that will take you to an (easy) trail to Longmire. A great route to get a nice hike in with a pit stop for coffee or a meal at Longmire.

Nice location and accessible off road site. Very close to Longmire and on the way to Paradise.

This site has a tent pad a few stone steps down into a small ditch-like area. It was great because you dont get a lot of the light pollution from the bathrooms or headlights. Note: no soap in the bathrooms, and if the bathroom door is kept open overnight, the sinks are CRAWLING with bugs in the morning. Overall, good experience with well-spaced sites.
@JimF2202636 · Camped on Aug 25, 2025 at Campsite #B9
Very nice ranger at check-in. The amenities are very basic however as you might expect. The bathrooms, while clean, are desperately in need for a major upgrade. America has the best national parks, but we need to invest in the infrastructure and ongoing upkeep. The huckleberries are ripe and we did lots of bike riding in the campground loops - perfect for a 5 year old!!

Beautiful campground with lots of trees. Bathrooms are clean. Quiet. Close to several nice trails.

Beautiful campground with basic amenities. We enjoyed the Ranger talk at the amphitheater.
@MeganK8AC23BC4 · Camped on Aug 24, 2025 at Campsite #D37
The Campground was way more private than expected! Sites were spaced apart, staggered, and surrounded by trees. Plentiful and abundance access to potable water. The bathrooms were some of the nicest at a Campground. Quiet and clean. 100% reccomend.

We enjoyed seven August nights in beautiful weather at Cougar Rock Campground. The Stevens Canyon Road has been upgraded very nicely, with some paving and painting still ongoing on the west end. Our site was spacious and wooded. It was a short walk from the campground to cross the rushing Nisqually River on a log bridge leading to the Carter Falls Trail. We hiked 33 miles of the Wonderland Trail with Cougar Rock as our base camp. Views were great everywhere. Rangers were friendly and helpful, especially with hike planning and wilderness camping reservations.

I liked the campground and this campsite. Sites are well spaced so it doesnt feel crowded. This site is across from the bathroom, but not too close. The bathroom lights did stay on all night, so if youre sensitive to light when sleeping, this may not be the spot for you. If the bathroom door is left open overnight, the sinks will be CRAWLING with bugs in the AM. Note: no soap in the bathrooms.

The picnic table and tent site at E008 were separated, which was nice, but the site itself was a bit small. The restrooms were well maintained and very clean, and overall the campground was extremely quiet.

Nice shady campground, mix of small and larger sites. Clean bathrooms and very handy water bottle filler.

Quiet and nice campground. No frills, easy to find and while most spots were occupied didnt feel as though people were on top of you.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
