The campground was good. Too many of the best sites next to the river are double sites (2x the cost).We knew that the water system was out, but it would be nice to know for the future when it's expected to be back up again.

It is unfortunate that this campground was closed for an entire season to fix water issues only to be notified this visit there is ZERO water. The water in July smelled like sulfur but we cooked with it. Such a beautiful destination its too bad more $$ arent allocated to keep it running well

Beautiful, peaceful campground in the middle of an old growth forest near the river. It was not crowded at all, but this may have been due to the recent shut off of all the water. Make sure you know where you want to hike or fish before you leave and there was not information posted anywhere on the bulletin boards and there were no camp hosts either.

We really enjoyed our time at La Wis Wis. the only reason for not giving 5 stars is there always no water available(I did receive an email to bring extra water prior to our visit) and the smell in the outhouses was atrocious after 2 days of being there. It smelled like chemicals. Which made it hard to breathe. Other than those 2 things, the campground was very clean and well kept up. We will definitely be back.
