St Lucie South Campground in Martin County is located just 28 min southeast of Port St. Lucie, FL with an elevation of 20 feet. There are a total of 21 campsites including 8 boat sites. The campground is open all year. 9 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 40 and 45 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 17 sites have electric and water hookups. 1 site has electric hookups. Fees range from $20.00 to $35.00. Some amenities include shower, dump station, playground, boat ramp, flush toilets. Activities include boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.
Saint Lucie Lock and Dam area is currently under construction, so the walkway across to the Northside trail is closed at this time. Saint Lucie South campground water supply may be interrupted from time to time. So please be prepared for potential outages.
NOTICE: For the Protection and Security of Staff and Visitors - No Packages of Any kind will be accepted at Saint Lucie Recreation Area. Please make arrangements with your delivery service for pick-up from a Secured Delivery Service pick-up location.

The ranger MaryBeth was very helpful. The Lockmaster was very rude and uncooperative. For example, he would not answer vhf radio.

Its small and pleasant. Right on the canal that runs clear across Florida from east to west, the sights of fish jumping and boats passing are endlessly entertaining.

Great location (river view). No privacy for tent campers. Restrooms need refurbishing.

Very clean and pretty campground. Not dead quiet for tent camping due to highways nearby but not so close that it was my problem for sleep. Very neat a lovely stretch of water and lochs system nearby. I came and went early/late so never really met anyone but the people on the phone at the site were super helpful and responsive!

I am deeply grateful to this personable and hardworking staff, bathrooms always well maintained, all spots are kept up nicely. If they are wondering what could be improved I would only have one small suggestion. The camp mascot is an alligator that often situates himself out in the waterway, facing the campers. No problem, except on one of my last visits, I watched a large family of children feeding him. The youngest kid was just learning to walk. They would give alot of people peace of mind with a child friendly fence along this perimeter. Thanks for such a great place.

A very nice place. We had one of the boat slips. Perfect spot and it's right next to the St. Lucie lock. Clean and quiet.

This is one of the nicest COE Campgrounds weve stayed at. Staff is very friendly and helpful, bathhouse is clean and well lit, camp spots are all concrete with covered gazebos and it is right on the water as usual. We will stay again.

This destination never disappoints! Easy access to downtown Stuart and Indiantown. Amazing volunteers! This was our 4th time staying at the St Lucie lock docks. We'll definitely be back.

One of the best campgrounds Ive been to yet. The facility is well taken care of and the staff are there to greet you and see to that you were taken care of. This is probably the quietest cant run Ive ever been to..The view of the river is outstanding. The facilities here are clean and well taken care of.. This is probably my favorite place to come camp at. Hope returns soon and enjoy the scenery and the serenity one feels when camping here.. Thank you again for a pleasant visit.

One of our favorite COE campgrounds. Always clean and friendly staff. The lock system buildings were under construction, and they had to shut the water off occasionally during our stay. The staff was really good at keeping us notified when it would happen so we could switch over from city to our internal water system. We love checking out the history of an area and this stay, the Stuart Museum and Elliott Museum are a must see.
