We recently stayed at St. Lucie South, a beautifully landscaped campground near Stuart, FL, and had a fantastic experience. The grounds were well-maintained and lush, offering a peaceful and scenic setting to relax. One of the highlights was the nearby boat lockreally interesting to watch boats pass through, especially if you're not familiar with how they work.The campgrounds location was perfect for exploring the area. Its just a short drive to downtown Stuart, which has a charming waterfront and several dog-friendly restaurants along the St. Lucie River. We brought our pup along and had no trouble finding spots where he was welcome.Our favorite meal of the trip was at the Boathouse. Its right on the water, with beautiful views and a relaxed, coastal vibe. The food was excellent, and the service was just as good. Well definitely be coming back!

St. Lucie South Campus: A Waterfront OasisOur recent stay at St. Lucie South Campus was truly delightful! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the sheer beauty of the grounds. It was an absolute joy to open our camper door each morning and be greeted by the sparkling water right outside a truly picturesque backdrop to our coffee. The scenic water views weren't just for the door, either; they were perfectly framed by our windows, making for a constant, calming presence.Beyond the stunning scenery, we were impressed by how clean the park was kept. Everything was well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable experience. A special shout-out goes to Kim at the check-in post, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She provided some fantastic recommendations for local attractions and dining spots, which really enhanced our visit.St. Lucie South Campus offers a serene and beautiful escape, made even better by its immaculate conditions and helpful staff. We highly recommend it for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with breathtaking water views!

The 9 campsites are in good condition. However several improvements to be completed to improve or bring the campgrounds up to the private campground standards. First and foremost the restrooms need to be remodeled to appear fresh, clean and up to date. They are dingy and in need of face lifts.

What a lovely place. Whats not to love about camping right on the canal. And their restrooms were very clean. Did not appreciate the giant frogs by the restrooms

The campground was clean and quiet. The staff was so very helpful and friendly. The setting is beautiful, set along the waterway and the operating locks and dam. The visitors center, along with the locks and dam, offered educational experiences for young and old. Wonderful experience!

Exceptional campground and excellent camp hosts. Clean facilities, hot water, Site RV 1 was flat. Regarding bugs that bite, make sure to wear enclosed shoes, high socks if on grass and be prepared for winter mosquitos.
