One of our favorite COE campgrounds. Always clean and friendly staff. The lock system buildings were under construction, and they had to shut the water off occasionally during our stay. The staff was really good at keeping us notified when it would happen so we could switch over from city to our internal water system. We love checking out the history of an area and this stay, the Stuart Museum and Elliott Museum are a must see.

This place is serene. So well kept. And the hosts are spectacular I had to evacuate for the Hurricane and they were so supportive and even helped me pack up This is such a great place I cant wait to come back in a month!

We have been there three times. On our first visit the power breaker went out. We only had power because the host loaned us a dog bone to convert 50 amp to 30 amp.I think the second visit went ok but the power posts were still questionable.This stay was ok until the end when the dump station was out of service. We had to find a place to dump tanks.

Everyone was very helpful. I had to change my reservations a couple of times and everyone helped me through the process. I enjoyed the hiking trails and the general friendliness of the staff volunteers.

We have been to this campground quite a few times and we love it so much. The volunteers are always so nice and so helpful. Its such a peaceful and quiet campground. I would say my only two complaints is that the fishing areas arent the best. They have to many rocks and the fishing line gets caught all the time in the rocks. The best place to fish would be on the boat docks but that is not allowed. My second complaint is that the sites need pressure cleaning badly. Not sure why that has not been done it since its a small campground with very few sites. Other than that its a wonderful campground. I would highly recommend.

St. Lucie South is such a relaxing place to visit. The staff is very accommodating and because there are so few sites, its a very comfortable environment. The hiking trails on the far side of the river are excellent.

We had a great stay! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The campground was very nice and loved that it is a small place with just a few sites. The walking path is shaded and clear and makes for a great walk. The view of the water and the boats are beautiful.

Beautiful location and great well-maintained park with lots of space between sites. Several gopher tortoise burrows on at the campground which were fun to watch. Only complaint is there were a lot of fire ants at our campsite.

Beautiful, small campground. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Other campers were courteous & well behaved. Nice to watch boats going through the lock area.

Such a quiet peacefull place. Enjoyed watching the boats go through the locks. Close by to historic downtown Stuart makes for a nice evening. Beaches are no more than 1/2 hour away with free parking.
