Clean and well kept camping area as well as the facilities. The park staff were all extremely friendly, the park over all is charming and makes for an enjoyable experience!

Campsite #1 was easily accessible without a cart. It was quiet, private, & clean. The pit toilets were clean & well-stocked. The solar charger was a welcome surprise, but not all of the sockets worked with our phone charger cords. We were greeted in the morning with birds singing and quail running through. Could hear coyotes in the night. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Spacious, clean, not crowded. About 100 yards from parking lot. Walk trail between two campsites to access my site (4). No raised pad for tent at this site. Room for several tents. Got firewood from Ace Hardware (about 15 minute away). Open area between small sites and group sites for frisbee, etc. Can access Long Leaf Trail from back of camp site. Pit toilets at parking lot where ok in April. Plenty to see and learn about flood plain forest on the trails. Small, but nice visitor center, with good clean bathrooms and water for drinking.

Great walk-in campground! Be aware that there is no electricity or running water at the campground. It's about a half mile drive to the visitor center for water. Pit toilets are at the campground. It's about a 50-yard walk to the close campsites from the parking lot. It was a great way to experience Congaree!

We had a nice visit to Congaree. The park is not big, but it has about a day's worth of trails. Got to see an alligator (not at the campsite... up at one of the lakes). The campground is walk-in only, but the walk is short. Fine campsites.

If you have carry a lot of camping equipment you may want to bring a wagon to carry your supplies. Also bring at least one gallon container for water to use at your site.

Pleasant campground. Very quiet campers. I suppose this has to do with having to carry your equipment to the campsite. No music, car doors slamming, cars starting, etc. The only negative was the gnats. They are ferocious. Bug spray did not help much. Had to bail out to my tent. Spent a lot of time squishing the ones that got in the tent. I bet the mosquitoes are unbearable here in the summer.

Very nice campsite! A short walk/drive from the Harry Hampton Visitor Center - which has 24/7 access to clean water. Would definitely stay here again if I make it back to Congaree!

Spacious tenting sites at the back of the campground were mostly well-screened from neighbors. Staff I interacted with were friendly and pleasant. Long Key is not too far out of greater Miami and is a convenient base for visiting both the Everglades and the Keys.

We had a wonderful weekend for our anniversary and Valentine's day. Will definitely go back.

Arrived at camp in the late afternoon, setup and made friends with the campers next to me. Throughout the night, we were disturbed by cackling and what seemed to be teenagers/and or other immature young kids screaming throughout the forest after quiet hours. They were shouting racial slurs and made it very hard to sleep. I will not be returning to this campsite just to be bothered by people screaming offensive words at all hours of the night in the woods.

Good location tucked away from others, although you still had to walk through other campgrounds to really get to it.

Basic campground. Short walk from the parking area. No water or electricity so bring your own. There is a dual outhouse next to the parking area. Campground was pretty quiet except for air traffic to the nearby airportnot all night long, though. If you like darkness & animal sounds, this is the campground for you. I will return!

I have camped here multiple times. Nice little get away. Sites are always clean, no trash in firepit. Love that you can just hike from campsite to trails, and not have to fight for parking spot at building.

Nice individual campsites with picnic tables, fire rings, and pole with two hooks to hang food / trash. Plenty of space. Walkway from the parking lot to the sites is quite level, which made it easy to roll our supplies to the site using a cart for ease. Toilets had TP and hand sanitizer and were as nice as a pit toilet can be. Recycling and trash receptacles are also available in the parking lot.

I had site 3. The site itself is fine, but all the sites in this area (1-5), except maybe 4 lack any real privacy. Site 4s access is a little path between 2 and 3, so it feels like somebody is walking through Site 3 anytime to/fro Site 4. The campground is not car accessible per se. You must carry your stuff in a short distance on a gravel dirt path from the parking lot. For the furthest sites, maybe 300 yards. The campground is located about 1/3 mile from the park entrance off of the main road. Most of the sites are within eyesight of the parking lot for the campground.The toilets (pit) are too few in my opinion. 1 stall for each for men and women and no water for washing afterwards. More toilets are at the Visitors Center that flush and have water, but they are about 1/4 mile hike or drive away. There is also no water (potable) at the campground. I knew this, just wanted others to be aware.I have camped out hundreds of nights and this campground, in my opinion, is not up to the US National Park standards. Its okay for a night, but it really wasnt a good park experience for Congaree as it was on the edge of it and not really immersed in the true park settings. The whole campground surrounds an open field on three sides with the 4th the parking lot and road. You are barely into the woods. I cant really see staying here more than 1 night.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.
