Campsite #1 was easily accessible without a cart. It was quiet, private, & clean. The pit toilets were clean & well-stocked. The solar charger was a welcome surprise, but not all of the sockets worked with our phone charger cords. We were greeted in the morning with birds singing and quail running through. Could hear coyotes in the night. Overall a very pleasant experience.

The campground was easy to get to. Quiet. The sites were very spacious complete with tent pad, fire ring and picnic table. Trails connecting the campground to the visitors center. Would definitely camp again when visiting Congaree National Park.

The walk in isn't too far that you can't bring a grill or cooler. Nice tent pads and great location.

It was fine. Short walk from parking lot. Close to neighbors. Didnt really like no check in, no camp host or anything

We had a phenomenal time! The campsite included a flat spot to pitch a tent, a fire ring, a picnic table, and a pole with hooks to hang things on, such as a lantern. The campground is a short hike from the visitor's center and the entrance to the boardwalk trail. We will be back!

A wonderful campsite. Loved all the trees and it was a much shorter walk to my car. Can't wait to stay here again

Campsite was nice and clean. The hiking trailhead was very convenient to access the visitors center. Lots of bugs and spiders so be ready. Plenty of shade, which is great.

This is a basic, tent-only campground in a convenient location. The sites move away from the parking lot with site 1 being the closest. Things we loved: Spectacular trees! Tent platform, easy walk to our site, quiet space, hiking trail to visitors center, space for a hammock. There was a nice camaraderie between campers, and everyone was very quiet and respectful. Visitors center is a mile away and has 24-hr access to a single flush toilet, drinking water tap, and Wi-Fi (from outdoors).Downsides: Just be aware the campground does not have anyone on site, so you just need to be comfortable being independent. Campground toilets are basic and there are really no amenities within a roughly 20 minute drive. Overall: We really enjoyed our stay! Congaree is beautiful and interesting. Campground is clean and suited our needs, and we would know what to expect next time!

We had a very nice campsite. We had site 1, so we were close to the parking lot. The sites weren't clearly labeled, and the sign for site 2 was 20 yards past the camp area so we accidentally set up in the wrong location. Fortunately, nobody was in site 2 for the night, just be aware. The sites were in a tree line so there was plenty of shade and places for hammocks. The sites were mostly clear of debris and trash.

Such a quiet and pretty campground amid longleaf pines! We stayed three nights and there were virtually no one there!Close to food in Gadsden (Dollar General) water at the visitsore center and an open flush-toilet bathroom (also at the visitor center)I would highly recommend this campground
