Wonderful stay! Easy to get around, beautiful secluded campground area with easy access to hiking trails. The groundskeeper Eric was very welcoming and helpful. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Beautiful site that is well maintained. One of my favorite tent camping spots in Maryland! There is now mowed grass; only sites nestled amongst lovely wooded hills.

It's my second time at Owens Creek Campground and I remain thoroughly satisfied with the amenities, my site's cleanliness, and the natural environment (I got to hike on) but the real star this recent stay was the campground's current host (whose name I forgot); me and my group were really taken by him as a nature lover (and his aptitude for the role) . We really hope to see him again,

Fantastic campground for tenting. Beautiful, tranquil, quiet. Access to hiking from campground. Camp host Eric was courteous, professional, helpful. Highly recommend.

Site 33 has very sloping picnic table (too heavy to adjust), as do several sites on the steep hillside.

Great hiking and well-kept. We felt like we were able to escape the city and relax in a clean and woodsy campsite. Quiet, respectful, and you can tell the camp host really cares about the grounds and surrounding nature. Great spot for a woodsy get away

We had a very nice stay at Owens Creek Campground. Eric, the campground manager, was very welcoming, checking in with us upon arrival and on the day of departure. The campground is clean and well maintained with plenty of free stacked firewood available. Between Catoctin Mountain Park and Cunningham Falls State Park, there are plenty of good trails in the area for novice as well as more experienced hikers. We look forward to staying here again.

We arrived later, in the evening. There was a detour. Scary fog and police lights at the top of the mountain, by the military area.Luckily, I was familiar with the park and hoped the woods road would lead me back down, past the group sites, and to the campground.There was no signage to help us.However, after finding our way back from the residential area, to the campground, we were amazed to find that someone, maybe the camp host, left us firewood and kindling ready, for us to use.Awesome way to end our vacation.

Great campground - nicely spaced and sized tent camp sites. The host, Eric, was very thoughtful and communicative. Free wood was a major plus!

This is one of my most favorite places to visit. The sites are large and mostly secluded. The bathrooms are accessible and clean. Eric the campground host is very friendly and knowledgeable. Its apparent, that he is a good steward for this sacred place. I cant wait to come back.

Camping spots are all fairly close together.
@RichardG179702 · Camped on Sep 12, 2025 at Campsite #13
Site 13 is not the most secluded on the site. The adjacent site table is just behind the tent site so expect to hear some conversation. It is convenient for the restrooms and washing facilities. Overall, a nice stay but better spots further back in the campsite.

I appreciated that camp site #17 was released daily since the campground was full on the weekend I wanted to visit. Loved the location of the site, close enough to the toilets, shower, trash can, firewood, and the hiking trail. Very unreliable T-Mobile phone service but I loved that!

Very good campground host. Made himself available and checked on us often.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
