This place could flourish if it had competent people to run it. The sites were beautiful however the bath house brings you back to the 70s. My wife had spiders crawling on her head and the showers had weird electrical wires and things hanging like cameras on the windows and we choose to leave the next morning. We only saw 3 people there including the host and they all looked like they lived there full time and had busted campers. The park However including sites were beautiful the tent pads were some of the best we came across in a long time. With a bit of cleanup and new bath house this place would rock!

Campsite, picnic table and tent pad were in excellent shape. Campfire wood was available.

Stayed at Site 29 at the Owens Creek Campground for one night; really enjoyed my experience there. Having the creek bubbling in the background added to the serene atmosphere. Facilities and campsites were in good condition.

Catoctin Mountain Park has a lot for kids and we enjoyed the ranger programs and hiking that were accessible directly from the campground.

Camp site 29 needs some maintenance for rain drainage. We were caught in a thunderstorm, and the tent pad became a pool of water (coming from the uphill road and driveway). The staff was very helpful to give us warning when storm was coming, and he came to check on our flooding situation. The tent pad did start draining after storm passed. Otherwise very quiet and relaxing campground overall. Waking up to birds singing in the morning was amazing.

Well prepared (though smaller) camp sites. Bathroom facilities and showers were very clean. Nice hiking trail right out of the campground.

Great pad to set my tent up on. The only drawback was the lack of a substantial barrier between the showers and the rest of the bath house

The campground is wonderful - it is completely wooded, providing shade and a great escape into the outdoors. Each campsite is well maintained with a spacious tent pad, fire pit, and picnic table along with a large parking space. We love staying here!

Nice campsite. Tent placement is a bit more private than other campsites in the campground. Rangers were great. Saturday Ranger program on nocturnal animals was hands on, educative and engaging.

The tent site was excellent, even in torrential rain! Loved it, will return.

Very quiet, peaceful, and lovely. Trails to hike right there. Plenty of firewood for your campfire (a donation box is there to help pay for it). Very well kept restrooms which have hot water and is heated and one has a single hot water shower. The area around is fabulous especially if you ride motorcycles. Check out High Rock 14 minutes away. Free ice at a nearby liquor store (6 minutes away). Arrival or departure meal?Thurmont Kountry Kitchen is awesome, bountiful food for a very fair price!

We love Catoctin Mountain National Park. Be aware cycling on the surrounding hills is demanding. Either be in excellent physical condition, or bring an ebike!

This was my young daughter (7 yrs old) first time at an actual campground. Was a wonderful experience that made her want to come back again. Bathrooms are clean and heated, firewood was abundant, and campsites were well taken care of. Catoctin is a gem in this part of Maryland. Highly recommend this campground.

Great campsite. Plenty of wood available for a small donation. Be advised, site 36 and 38 are basically one camp ground divided by a log on the ground. So it feels like you're camping with your neighbors and there's little to no privacy from each other. Besides this, site 36 is a great layout with a lot of space in comparison to other sites. And the facilities were very well maintained and very clean.

Beautiful campsite with generously-sized lots. Perfect for tent camping. Showers and bathrooms were in nice working order. I stayed one night on my way for a family event but could easily have stayed a week or more. Nice quiet park.

Sites were all under the tree canopy. Showers and bathrooms were very good. Good stop if you are wanting to explore Gettysburg. BE AWARE: This is a RESERVATION ONLY campground. We had AT&T signal but not Mint. Make sure you have the Recreation.gov app on your phone or make reservation before you arrive. .

Individual site was on the smaller size, but tent platform was fairly new and flat. Would stay again!

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
