Staff was very friendly and helpful. Cabins and bathrooms were clean with hot water and great water pressure. Enjoyed the hike and view on Catoctin Mountain. Thank you for all your hard work!

I had a pleasant stay at this campground and would definitely recommend it. Although I arrived after the office had closed, picking up the key to my cabin was straightforward and hassle-free.It rained quite heavily during my visit, but the cabin remained completely dry with no leaks. All amenities inside the light, fan, and outlet were in good working order.There was no T-Mobile service at the cabin itself, but I was able to get a signal along the main road within the park.The location is excellent, with several hiking trails nearby. There are also a few farm stores within a 10-minute drive that offer fresh, delicious produce.

Clean, comfy, quiet and the staff was so helpful. Other guests at cabins were friendly and curtious about quiet time and cleanliness

I am a 41 year old woman who camps every year with my girlfriends and all of our kids. I recently had a baby and we thought cabins might be a little easier this year, rather than tents. We were so disappointed. Youre not allowed to have hammocks, clothes lines or canopies. The park rangers and workamper were not friendly at all, in informing us of the rules. Someone, we guess, had previously moved some rocks from the middle of a path and so it appeared to us to look like a rough road path. The workamper was so nasty and even threatened our children with calling "law enforcement" if they didnt take her immediately to their guardians (we were unloading in the cabin next door). Some people had dogs, which wasn't allowed, and youre not allowed food by the pool, which is kind of silly. Just lots of rules and staff that are not clear or personable in explaining them. A positive was that the cabins had ceiling fans and firewood was plentiful.

I understand this is a historical site, but it could use some updating. Our cabin was full of holes and mice got in and into our food. The lower womens bathroom had moldy vinyl curtains and only one stall worked. It was clean otherwise. You are also not allowed to have a canopy over your picnic table, so keep that in mind. The staff was pleasant but we will not be returning.

Wonderful family experience. We will be returning. The pool and facilities were always very clean. We stayed in cabin # 49. The only negative was our fire ring was very close to our neighbors fire ring.

We stayed here while we were visiting Gettysburg. The camp host was friendly and welcoming. We drove our car to cabin 31 to unload. There was firewood cut and wagons by the woodshed. The cabin was clean, the shower house/restrooms were clean. We would stay again if ever in the area.

Camp Misty Mount is a wonderful experience. We try to visit at least twice a year and are always happy. The cabin are clean, the bathroom and pool area are wonderful, and the program director is always so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Our Girl Scout troop of 12 3rd and 4th graders had a great time in the Upper Loop at Camp Misty Mount. The sites were well-equipped and it was an easy walk to the bathrooms and water station. Firewood was plentiful and the cabins were dry despite rains the week before. Highly recommend!

We loved the cabin. We were two adults (grandparents) and our two grandchildren 5 years old and seven. We loved having our own bed in a cozy room. Our grandchildren loved cooking on a camping stove and roasting marshmallows. We spent two great days hiking and also going to the lake. A wonderful experience with some comfort for the first camping trip of our grandchildren.

We visited Camp Misty Mount on the recommendation of our 11 year old granddaughter and she was right. The historic cabins were clean and had plenty of room, with windows open and provided a great cross breeze. The rangers and camp host were very knowledgeable about the history of the park and the surrounding areas. My husband misplaced his wallet and the rangers went out of there way, in the rain to help us look for it. The complimentary firewood on check-in day, was an added bonus and there was more wood in the woodshed. The bathrooms were clean and heated. The loop we were on had a covered dishwashing station which is very helpful.

This review is based mostly on the cabin experience. The pool was already closed for the season. The park rangers were all fantastic. I rented this cabin and the lodge next door to accommodate both my large family and my friend's large family. This 4-person cabin is well situated next to the handicap unloading area and definitely in a better position to load/unload than many of the cabins along the path. It's also private enough that if a little boy needs to run behind a tree, they can do so. The bathrooms are a hike for sure. -My main problem with this cabin was the fact that it was missing a window. These are historic cabins, so I understand that some of the parts might need to be specially fabricated. In this case, just getting a sheet on thin plexiglass and cutting it to fit, then popping it in place would have been a decent workaround. The beginning of November was COLD. The cabins are "no heaters allowed" due to the risk of fire. If my brain had been working, i would have brought a heated blanket. If you are camping here at the beginning or end of the season, consider a heated blanket or hot water bottle and a hat.

This lodge is HUGE. I know it says it sleeps 6 and there aren't many good photos online. I was too busy doing mom stuff to get cabin interior photos. You could easily fit 2 queen air mattresses in this cabin. There is a little closet that you can turn into a dressing room if you get creative. Or put a toddler potty in there. This lodge is a hike to the bathroom. While it is a handicap access cabin, there are no smooth walkways near this cabin. The closest one is past the wash station. Definitely a perfect cabin for rainy day camping, since there are two covered porch options with lighting sufficient to play games or eat under the shelter. The EXIT sign was very very bright. If you are able to point away from the sign, you have a better chance of sleeping. This would have been amazing with a cozy fire "back in the day." The fireplace is simply beautiful.

Trails were beautifully maintained and clearly marked. Gift shop was a sweet bonus we were not expecting.

The cabin was clean; new bedframes made sleeping a bit more comfortable than in past years. Some of our enjoyment of Camp Mist Mount's serenity was spoiled by loud music emanating from campers in another section that blared nonstop on Friday evening until 11PM when the Rangers were finally called to the scene. This music began again on Saturday AM about 8 and continued unhindered until 8:30 PM. Complaints to the Rangers were met with "There's nothing we can do."

The park rangers are always friendly and helpful. The value is fair. Restrooms are clean and well lit. The free firewood is very helpful. But don't forget your kindling!

In a beautiful wooded setting, the cabins are rustic but have the essentials of lights, a good mattress on the cots and now electrical plug at each bed. The fire ring, picnic table, and free wood available encoarage fires for cooking and social gathering. The heated bathrooms with flush toilets and showers balance the rustic with the modern. There is a short and a long trail to Catochtin Falls which is lovely. The are many hiking trails and rock climbing opportunities. The small Nature Center is worth a visit too. The Park staff are very helpful.

But shoutout to Ranger Grimes for such a perfectly friendly welcome to the park. We had a wonderful weekend at Misty Mount full of memories that will last a lifetime. Well be back next year!

It was a nice experience in a historic cabin! Staff was informative and friendly. The pool was great, restrooms/showers are up to date and clean. Presuming they are trying to preserve an atmosphere of sedate woodsyness, the no vehicles idea is great. The beds are surprisingly comfy, and no a/c is ok due to many windows. We came for the hiking and expect to return.

The description of the cabin notes that its a drive in site however theres no way to actually drive to the cabin to drop your stuff off. Instead you have to park in the parking lot and lug all your things down to the cabin. We had 3 kids and were staying for a whole week so it was a lot. The pool was nice and the bathrooms were clean! If you have kids, want to be close to the pool and dishwashing station I would suggest to stay in the upper loop.

Amazing!!! I used to camp at Misty Mount with my family as a child. Being back 25 years later with my own family was so special. Many good changes, but everything felt so very much the same!

My main concern was that there would be enough space for our baby's pack and play crib. We stayed in a four person cabin and there was tons of space for the crib and space for our baby to crawl and play. The facilities were clean and lovely. We really enjoyed our stay!

Going to Camp Misty Mount is like stepping back in time but with much appreciated upgrades to the cabins such as ceiling fans, indoor and outdoor lights, and outlets to recharge devices. After an invigorating hike to Wolf Rock and Chimney Rock, nothing beats relaxing in the pool with trees all around you. Add in an evening campfire and you've got a perfect day.The park rangers and camp hosts are super friendly and helpful. You can just tell how much they love Camp Misty Mount. Thank you!

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado
