Great camping! Its 10-15 degrees cooler in the mountains, so we had a nice break from the heat. The sites are well maintained. Well definitely return!

This is one of my favorite campgrounds anywhere. It’s just absolutely serene, so lush and green, and feels like you’re in a secluded little pocket of the world. I have now been here multiple times and will keep coming back.

I feel like this years camp hosts just don’t care. I have stayed at this campsite over 8 times this year and over 10 last year. The major difference being the lack of any “work” done by the camp hosts this year. Wood has consistently been left out in a pile in front of the wood shed, uncovered and poured on by the rains we’ve had. It has been at times almost impossible to burn. The worse part is there is a huge tarp right beside the wood shed that could be used to cover the wood, yet it has never been used.

We are asked to donate $5 for wood which is more than reasonable when it’s wood that you can actually burn. The hosts this year never clean up the sites from camper to camper like last years hosts did. The hosts this year are hardly seen or even at the site itself on many occasions.

Overall the campground is still nice but the lack of burnable wood, the sites having excess amounts of charred logs in the fire pits from the previous camper is just a real let down.

My hope is that next year this will change. I want to be able to leave a positive review on apps like The Dyrt and and on here going forward.

Quiet. Nicely separated from other sites. Car well off roadway. Rest rooms convenient & clean.

Owens Creek Campground was one of the nicest campgrounds we stayed at during our 3-week road trip. The individual tent sites were well maintained, spacious, close enough to the next that you could say good morning to your neighbor, but isolated enough that you could enjoy the peaceful and calm setting in the forest. The restrooms were also very clean and well maintained. The campground itself was easy to find either with gps or by following the signs on the road. Truly a hidden gem!

Owens Creek is a lovely quiet campground with good facilities. The sound of the creek beside the campground is musical in early. The lush spring forest was full of woodsy wildflowers. The bathrooms are clean, nice hot shower facilities plus utility sinks for dishwashing. Hiking trails are adjacent to the campground. We appreciated the availability of handicapped accessible camping sites.
