The tent site was excellent, even in torrential rain! Loved it, will return.

Very quiet, peaceful, and lovely. Trails to hike right there. Plenty of firewood for your campfire (a donation box is there to help pay for it). Very well kept restrooms which have hot water and is heated and one has a single hot water shower. The area around is fabulous especially if you ride motorcycles. Check out High Rock 14 minutes away. Free ice at a nearby liquor store (6 minutes away). Arrival or departure meal?Thurmont Kountry Kitchen is awesome, bountiful food for a very fair price!

Super clean, very quiet, and nestled into the woods. An excellent experience. Special thanks for the donation firewood station.

I love camping at Catoctin. I love that it doesn't have hundreds of sites and it has tent pads. The park has several nice trails and is close to Cunningham Falls State Park and easy driving distance to Civil War Battlefields; Gettysburg. Antietam and Monacacy as well as South Mountain Battlefield area.

We stayed in Site 30 which is the best site in the campground. Off by itself, right beside the creek. Very quiet campground, plentiful firewood, and trails right beside our site.

Very green and peaceful...a great way to be outdoors. I camped there during the weekdays when the campground was maybe 1/4 full.

Stayed in Campsite 30 - such a nice sound coming from the stream behind. The entrance to the short but lovely hiking path was just 30 feet from our site. Quiet, calming. Would book this site over any other.

My sister and I had a wonderful camping trip last week. We were at Site 30, and it felt like there was a dining area with the fire pit and table, and then a separate sleeping area down some steps to the tent pad and a scenic stream. Fire wood was plentiful, with kindling adjacent (reasonable requested $5 donation). Definitely recommend hiking to Chimney Rock!

Beautiful trees, creek, and paths. Wonderful sounds of birds, frogs, and insects.
