This was our first visit, and we used it as a layover on a longer trip. We were most satisfied for several rasons:The location was perfect for our needs distance-wise, and was conveniently located only 10 to 15 minutes from I-59 and a Loves travel cenmter, but was secluded and quiet.The sites are nicely maintained and the actual pads are paved and level and may of them are waterfront. All are easy to access - no difficult manoeuvering. The restrooms as well are clean and undated well enough. The park volunteer staff was courteous, friendly and helpful.

The staff was wonderful and the grounds beautiful. My only concern is the showers . There were 2 showers, one was occupied so I used the handicap one. There was very little water pressure and the green ceramic tiles were so slippery, I was worried about slipping. I wondered if it was due to the fact that with such low water pressure the shampoo and conditioner were coating the tiles. I told my husband I had to sit to get dressed because standing on one foot was not an option with the slippery floor. Also the height adjustment in the shower did not stay up.

We pulled in after dark so we couldnt see much at first. I will say the turn to go in is a bit steep and we bottomed out in the camper but no harm no foul. Our host, Mini, was an absolute treasure. We found our spot and set up quickly on the nicely paved spot (2). The next day we were blown away. It was quiet, insanely clean bathrooms (thanks bill and co) and a cute play area for our 6 yo. We rode bike in a loop and checked out the trail while stopping to speak to several COE employees that were a delight. The other campers were respectful, kind and courteous. The next host (didnt catch her name) was just as accommodating and instead of the one night, we stayed 3. Would go back again and again. One of the best experiences for us, we are novices but dont need a lot of frills. There is a walking trail and boat ramp along with riverside campsites that we did not utilize but checked out. Gold star.

This is a beautiful campground with large and long campsites. Nice spacing between sites so you never feel like someone it on top of you. Its perfect for any size rig including the largest motorhome. No problem navigating around the interior roads. There are only a few pull through sites as most are long back in. It overlooks a large river and also a lake that joins the river. Its always been a quiet park where we have been staying for many years when traveling east from Louisiana. A large number of the sites overlook the lake and a few have nice decks over looking the same.

Love this park! Unfortunately we only got to stay one night on our journey home. We immediately felt at home on this beautiful serene park. Spaces were spacious- large trees providing ample shade on a hot day. Clean air conditioned restrooms were available BUT the feeling of home - well that came from the park hosts! The ones we had the fortune to meet were some, if not only hosts that made us feel like family. We met two couples but were told about some of the others as well. You could tell that the hosts felt like family and were welcoming you into that family! The hosts picked a prime spot for us - a pull through that was in a beautiful location which made our one night stay an easy in and out, Our next trip that way will be sure to include multiple nights at this fabulous home.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
