Great campground and would be perfect if there was an electronic gate. Kind of disconcerting to realize you are locked in at night. Having grown up in the area and being familiar with emergency responders in rural areas, I know it would be quicker to drive to the hospital if needed, but you would have to call a number and wait for them to get to the gate to let you out if you needed out after 10 pm. We have camped at several different Corp of engineers campgrounds and they all have gates that can be accessed 24 hours a day and they are not nearly as nice as Foscue Creek. Large, well maintained sites and most with full hook-ups! Just a little nervous being locked in or out... If we had missed curfew on our family visits, we would have had to walk a long distance in the dark and left our vehicle parked on the side of the road. Great hiking trails nearby and plenty of places to eat close by if you don't want to prepare your own meals. Very friendly staff. Would stay here again, but cautiously.

Our experiences at this park are always the best and mostly due to the hosts. They ensure youre well taken care of, everything is clean, and they go beyond the call of duty to ensure your experience is the best. We love this COE.

The Corp Parks in Alabama are all excellent! I have been to several of them for years and have never had a bad experience.

Finally after 3 years of trying we were able to stay on site 52 and it did not disappoint us. The shade was great with how hot it was and the river view is grade A. There was a lot of barge traffic.

Friendly staff and a well kept campground. The only negative is the grass needs to be mowed

This pavilion is perfect for large parties! I had initially reserved a different pavilion for my son's 5th birthday party but a storm came through the weekend before and a tree fell on it. We were offered this pavilion and I'm so glad for it! We will be renting this from now own for my children's parties! The area is spacious with enough room for lots of kids to run around and even use riding toys. Beautiful scenery of the lock and dam. Highly recommend it!

When we go to Foscue it is like Family. The host all of them but Ann and Richard seemed to be our hostess with the mostest. We love going there it is our meeting place for our friends who come from different areas to meet up . Ranger Ann is right up there earning our respect for doing and being so loving to all. I could go on but hope you can feel what we have for the campground, host and all involved. Thanks

One of our favorite Army Corp campground. Great campsites, fisherman's lake and lots of volunteer camp hosts that are very friendly welcoming and do a great job maintaining and monitoring this campground. We rode our bikes around the campground loops and on the foscue creek trail. A good half hour bike ride.

This is a beautiful campground. The staff there are proud of the impression that they make. The sites were all nice. There are many that have water front. If you had a fishing pole and an Alabama license you might like it even more

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
