Forkland Campground in Greene County is located 1 hr southwest of Tuscaloosa, AL with an elevation of 95 feet. There are a total of 43 campsites. The campground is open all year. 42 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 26 and 107 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 41 sites have electric and water hookups. 2 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $20.00 to $26.00. Some amenities include shower, playground. Activities include boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

Forkland is quiet and very well maintained. It is a small campground, so everything is walkable. There are multiple staircases down to the water. It is too steep to put in a kayak from the campsites, but once you put in at the boat ramp you can leave your boat tied up at the staircase nearest your site. Theres a nice walking trail loop through the woods near the park entrance. We stayed in site 11 and I would not recommend it or site 12. They are directly across from the dump station and the position of the water and electric would force most RVs to face the dump station instead of the river. Our trailer is small so we were able to run the utilities under the trailer and face the view.

I loved it here, what a gem! Lots of wildlife to hear at night, neighbors were quiet and considerate. Definitely hope to return and try a site on the water.

The campground and all facilities are well maintained. This site has power, water, a picnic table, fire pit, and grill. There is a nice view of the river, but the path to the water at this site is blocked for safety. The staff were really nice and the 1.5 mile birding trail was scenic.

Our camping experience was perfect. We enjoyed the playground with the children, the water for fishing which was good the time of the year we were there. Nothing like sitting around a campfire at night and fishing during the day.

As always, our family really enjoyed our spring break stay at Forkland Campground! Play areas for our great grandson (and playmates) are wonderful! Although this year not as many children were present, but we still had a good time!

What a wonderful find through the Corp of Engineers campsites. The host, Glenda was fantastic! She suggested site 21. It was perfect. At the end and had a private beach! Sites are large and roomy. A 2nd suggested site would be #24, but all of them are fantastic. The cleanliness of the grounds and restrooms/shower area was an absolute 10+. I visited in March. I bet, with all of the greenery, it's amazing in the spring and summer.

We were on Site 17, concrete pad and a spacious area. There is a steep slope to the water and difficult to negotiate but site 15 has steps leading down to the water our Verizon cell service was poor. 1-2 bars at best. The Volunteers are friendly and very accommodating. They keep the campground very clean and neat, blowing leaves and raking the site before each arrival.

Our stay was fantastic. Volunteers kept the campground very clean. The bathhouse was always clean and the heaters kept the bathroom nice and warm. Cant say enough good things about our stay.

Its a very clean and lovely place to stay. Everyone is friendly, and there are no bad sites. The comp hosts very fantastic and were very informative. Its not a noisy campground, it has wonderful views. To me, its the perfect small campground.
