Service Campground in Choctaw County is located 1 hr 35 min north of Mobile, AL with an elevation of 111 feet. There are a total of 32 campsites including 2 tent-only sites. The campground is normally open from mid March to the end of November. 29 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 45 and 101 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 30 sites have electric and water hookups. 1 site has electric hookups. Fees range from $18.00 to $26.00. Some amenities include shower.

It was great to back on the river for couple weeks and relax. Its been 3 years since being here. The host Tim,Kathy,Bill,Teresa,Angela has been great. Thank you for what yall do at Service Park.

We really enjoyed watching the barges going up and down the river. The park was clean and the hosts friendly and helpful.

Nice and peaceful. Enjoyed watching the occasional tugboats & barges pass by. Very friendly staff and fellow campers.

staff was awsome. friendly and professional. enjoyed the tug boats passing by. shower had plenty of water pressure and hot water. we will be back!

The three couples who do the camp hosting are 100% Awesome. Service is our favorite campground. Getting to see the barges is wonderful!

We stayed at Campsite 10 which had an excellent view of the river. It was a pull-through and very level. Restroom were clean and grounds were well maintained. Found the camp hosts to be pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed riding our bikes around the campground and down to the boat ramp area where there are benches if you would like to sit and watch the tugs coming around a curve in the river. Really enjoyed watching the tugs and cabin cruisers come by in front of our campsite (especially seeing the tugs at night, too). We highly recommend this small park. The closest store is a Dollar General which has a food market area inside (around 4 miles or so). We drove over to Laurel, MS one day and spent some time in their downtown area. Happy Camping!

We were told this place was nice, but that is an understatement. It was well above our expectations. So tranquil you forget where you are. Cant wait to go back in in April.

It is so well ran, the bathrooms and camp sites are always clean. The only thing that could make it better would be sewer hookups and WIFI.

Excellent campground and awesome campsite (# 16, walk-in tent site). The campsite was directly on the shoreline of the water, and it was removed from the other camping areas which were mostly occupied by RVs. Great views of sunrise and sunset, really beautiful morning fog on the river during our cool fall morning. I even enjoyed seeing the barge traffic on the river... their lights occasionally light up our tent but it was fun to see this sort of thing. Oh yeah... not to be forgotten were the camp hosts who were so very kind, happy, and enthusiastic. They even escorted us to our campsite to save us the trouble of finding it on our own (we were on our tandem bicycle and low on energy).
