Service Park is a fine campground and we enjoy the line of pull-thru sites next to the river. The sites are reasonably level and in good condition as are the picnic table areas. The fixed, concrete picnic tables could use some repairs to the wooden seats, but that is a minor issue. The park hosts are always friendly and helpful.

Outstanding park hosts. The site was clean and ready for us when we got there. They even called to tell us it was ready. Only thing I wish is that this park would stay open in December and early spring. It is very nice.

This park has become our go-to place if we just want to get away for a few days. The sites are all hard-surface and well maintained. Many are pull-throughs and are close to the river. We are usually there during the week and the park is quiet and peaceful. The camp hosts are always helpful and courteous. If you are there on the weekends, check out Bimbo's Restaurant just east of Silas. The only complaint I have is that our cell service is hit or miss. We are with C-Spire. Other cell carriers may be better. This is our favorite Corp of Engineers Park.
