Beautiful campground with huge, spacious sites far away from next neighbor. I stayed in Site 5, a PT, that accommodated camper and truck with so much extra room for a boat and other toys. Barges were awesome to watch. Verizon worked well. Dish did as well. Camp host was so gracious and called to say we could arrive early. Have what you need, as not much is nearby. Peaceful and beautiful park.

Second camping trip to Service Park, love camping by the river and watching the boats and tugboat go by, the caretakers are very friendly and helpful it makes your stay so much better.

Service Park is a typical COE campgrounds, yet not so typical. It is a very quiet park where they round up the sidewalks and go home at dark. the only exceptions are a few large group gatherings on holidays and the heavy barge traffic at night especially during "Quiet Time!" The large groups I personally witnessed are well behaved and usually just loud enough to know they are talking to each other during quiet time, which is hardly a bother. The barges on the other hand blow the concept of "Quiet Time" out the window. But they are kind of like trains, you get used to them and they become White Noise and aren't really the same as the kinds of disturbances from rowdies you suffer at some campgrounds and the COE has its share of those!! Beautiful exotic ecology with unique lizards and plant life!! Plenty of deer coming through and usually the howling of coyotes can be heard in the distance after dark. But it could use a lot more TLC the volunteer staff and COE management. Still highly recommend this park to folks wanting to spend a little quality time in a natural setting, enjoying the great outdoors!!

Clean, quiet, friendly hosts. Just wish the washer and dryer were still available for campers. Did not see a laundramat anywhere close by.

Love the pull through sites along the water way and the back ins looked great also. Alway bring something to level your TT/RV the site I was in #5 wasn’t level side to side but wasn’t bad at all. We only stayed one night because of maintenance issue with my TT But I would have stay longer if I could have. The woman that was at the gate was really nice.
