Quiet, peaceful environment by the Snake River. Well maintained campground, spacious individual sites. But, little privacy from site to site. Long way to walk on fairly tall grass to reach the bathroom in the middle of the campground. Bathroom is very clean. Most suited to RV camping (paved or deep gravel ground; limited areas suitable to put up tent).

We really liked the campground BUT we didn't like that there is no water hookups. You have to bring your own water. Also, the boat launch situation is wild. So many people are very rude, selfish, and/or don't know what they're doing. It was the most frustrating boat launch experience we've ever had. Also I wish there was a way to hook up your boat for a couple of hours to go eat lunch or something. It's frustrating that you have to pull your boat out just to go eat or take a break.

Other than the fact that they were understaffed it was a pleasant experience

We spent one week at Charbonneau Park in a motorhome. Sites are large, level and most are partially shaded. Our site had full hook up. The park is clean with great views of the Snake River/Sacajawea Lake. Calm at night. Day-use area and beach are a plus. The bathroom facilities are clean.Closest food stores are about 25 min away. Recommended activities: REACH museum in Richland, Walla Walla visit, Palouse Falls.

Very nice park, they water continuously to keep the area green and safe.

Campground sprinklers flooded our site every day. The last day the power went out to the entire park. You must fill your fresh water tanks as many sites are electric only. However, it was nice to have 50 amp service so we were able to run both AC units in our RV.

Clean campground - best for RVs. Put up my tent on the grass - cause tents go on grass and got sprayed by the sprinkler system. Also no direct access to the water - you need to walk 1/2 mile to get to a place where you can swim.

We've always loved camping at charbonneau. This time, we had a little different experience. When we arrived, there was a large park sprinkler in our campsite, everything was soaking wet. We had to park in the street for close to 30 minutes until someone came and turned it off. This delayed us getting started with our quick 24-hour camp out that we had planned. Also, there was a large family reunion camping near us, they pretty well commandeered the water spigot. Throughout the time we were there they were washing dishes, and body parts, including laundry. I would suggest a sign to let people know that water spigots are only for obtaining water. Not doing all of the above. It seemed unsanitary. The park is pretty, and we enjoyed bicycling to icicle dam.

We have been coming to Charboneau for 30 years and have seen the upkeep slowly go down. The grass by the camps is mostly weeds and not mowed like it used to be a bathrooms. Need an upgrade and are not cleaned like they used to be. every year there seems to be in different varmint, and this year, the raccoons were obnoxious.

Nice quiet campground that is poorly maintained. Campsites dry with dead grass and they are growing more goatheads/ puncturevine than grass. Disappointed that they cant spray and water our parks. They said I could not move into my site until 2 pm because they had to water. Okay, but they didnt water my site.

Over all it was ok the park itself is pretty good its a little rundown bathrooms could use a face lift. It is under staffed but the people who work there are very friendly and nice. The sites themselves are good roomy if you can get a spot with all the hook ups your much better off.

Beautiful Park, but the Sprinkler management still needs major improvement. After setting the plugin sprinklers, with 20 minutes, they all drift counter clockwise.. watering the roads, cars, RV'S with phosphate filled water. And the Sprinkler guy is no where to be found. It's the same story, year after year.One big improvement, is that the rest of Staff this year, are nice as can be! ,ove you Guys!

Great park. Staff are fabulous and very accommodating. Really popular & difficult to get a reservation here in July. The restroom is in need of a huge upgrade & the trees have a fungus that is killing them, so shade is becoming a premium.

We grabbed an available spot for one night. Our site (#28) was great - water view and shaded. Some sights are in full sun and would be miserable in summer heat. A large portion of a tree branch fell a few sites down from us. Several other trees need cleaned up and median grass was quite tall in some areas. Overall we enjoyed our overnight stay and got to see a beautiful sunset.

We enjoined our stay there. We go at least one a year or more. Our son came and had a great time walking around the park and visiting with other campers. We also like to do that.

This campground was absolutely beautiful! The park was very clean and well-maintained, with spacious, level campsites that made setup a breeze. I really appreciated how peaceful and scenic the area wasperfect for a relaxing getaway.The only reason Im giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the bathroomit could use a little work. It wasnt terrible, just could benefit from some updating.Overall, Id definitely come back and recommend it to others. Great experience!

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
