Updated campground with great fishing. Camp sites were level, spread out, offered views of the lake, and each site had lots of trees for shade and hammocks. Bathrooms have only one shower and need to be remodeled a little bit.

Very well kept property and very hospitable host. The camping spots are nice and most have some sort of shade trees. Good roads to go biking on and feel safe.

Before I share my experience, I have ALWAYS had a great experience at this park and will return. But I do think there are a few things to be aware of. We had electrical issues at the spot we booked (T075). I went to gate guard & he informed me nobody is on call. He moved us to 67. We had electricity but VERY low water pressure. We used our fresh tank but asked them to look at it Friday morning. They drove by and that was it. Two spots above us appeared to have a leak. Not sure if that was the problem or not. But, nobody looked into it that I could tell. We had to fill and use water tank for 4 days. The 67 spot also isn't very level. This is hard on motorhomes. Again, this park is amazing and I am sure this is an isolated case. I hope, anyway. So, please make sure electrical (50amp) works at 75 and water pressure at 67 is ok. Thank you!

This was a very clean park. The people that work at this park do an excellent job. We will come back for sure.

Park was nice. Sites were well spaced and paved. Restrooms were non existent. They were either locked, plugged or closed due to water leaks. That was the biggest negative.Volunteers were friendly and helpful.Town has lots of restaurants and music on Fridays.

My stay was during the freeze and the roads were awful. This was no fault of the park. I always enjoy my time here.

This location has quiet, spacious lots, deer, full hookups, spectacular sunsets, dark skies (three satellites and two meteors in 15 minutes.) What more could you ask for at the COE's low price? The gate attendant was very friendly and courteous. The is one of our favorite places!

We love rving at Lakeside Campground at Hords Creek. Rv hookups are great, shady and have plenty of space between guests. We also enjoy going to town at least one evening and eating at The Cattle Drive Cafe downtown.

The staff is always friendly and accommodating! We camped at site 077 L2 this time (below the dam). It's nice. Huge shade tree. And it was 50 amp w/sewer hookup. Lakeside is well maintained and we haven't experienced goatheads (stickers or whatever you want to call them). About 3 or so years ago while camping in L1, a retired woman from up north spoke with us. She said she had traveled all over the country, especially the south, and she said Lakeside Park was one of the nicest she'd ever been to. We camped at Airport Park in Waco and Yegua Creek at Lake Somerville, and the goatheads are so bad we can't hardly walk our dogs for having to constantly pulling the stickers out there feet. But Lakeside is fantastic! Now our phone data there is very bad or nearly nothing. We're on AT&T.

We have stayed at many COE parks and this is our favorite by far. Very well cared for, the site was level, roomy and easy pull-through. Would highly recommend.

Love Hordes Creek but tree maintenance is falling behind. Our 45 rig had problems negotiating the tress at the entrance and exit. Our site was even worse. I know money is tight but making sure campers dont get damaged by overgrown trees seem to me would be a priority

The campground were good. The lack of heating in the restrooms and shower areas has always been a problem for me at this park but I try and make do with it. The open window in the toilet had a great breeze blowing through for the winter weather experience. Brrrr!!!!

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
