The overall stay was pretty decent . The scenery was absolutely beautiful. The swimming area is nice with the sand . The bathrooms were very clean and tidy . Nice and warm in the morning . The camp staff was nice and friendly . However there were some cons . The trek up and down from the campsite was terrible . Definitely need to redo the stairs or make it more accessible. Also you go camping to enjoy the QUIET . Quiet hours were supposed to be from 10 pm to 6 am . On Saturday night however you can hear music blasting from down the lake at the nearest marina until midnight , its extremely annoying when you have children trying to get to sleep and you want to enjoy being outside . Should definitely have been disclosed before making the reservation. And game wardens were flashing bright lights in through our tents up until midnight as well , also very annoying .

Plenty of shade and great view of the lake. This site and the one past it or excellent for someone camping together as they are a bit close on that one side. As always nice clean campground with excellent camp host Tom.

after 56 plus years of camping at Ragland bottoms , I still can't say enough good things about the place , my other camper friends over many years , and of course the dedicated managers Tom and his wife . Wonderful place .

This is usually our favorite campground but they have not mowed in over a week and it was dry every day we were there. The logs blocked the boat ramp and constantly had to move them to load and unload your boat. No lights in the bathroom at night

The gentleman running the park was very friendly and thanked us for staying at the campground. Bath house was very clean. The camping area had an excellent view of the lake. We plan on returning again.

Great weekend. Stayed in campsite 31. Nice level site. While the site isnt lakefront, the terrace layout of the sites gives you an illusion of privacy. Quick trip to Burgess Falls was a happy accident, well worth the short drive. All staff were pleasant and helpful. Will definitely try to reserve a lakefront on our return. Yes, we will be back.

What I would like to know. So here goes: the camp hosts are amazing! We visited the campground 4 days prior to our reservation and the camp hosts are just kind and so so friendly. The site is AMAZING. Site 21 is literally the best tent site. There is water, electric, a walking path down to the water (short walk), close to the bathrooms/showers, close to the parking area, shaded with just enough sunlight, grass, flat spot for your tent. The bathroom/shower area has 2 washers and dryers, which are free (so bring laundry soap). The showers are clean and hot! The bathrooms are kept amazingly clean and have real mirrors! There are three bathroom stalls and 2 shower stalls. One is handicapped equipped (each). The hand dryers are force heated. We traveled with 6 large breed dogs, search and rescue K9s. We used the Petsafe wireless containment system which allowed all of the dogs to roam within our area without being on a leash. The site had one firepit with a grill and a separate pedestal grill. We used the TMobile home internet which provided TV streaming service. We were able to beach dock our pontoon boat right on the beach near us. Hurricane Marina is only a 30 minute ride (20mph) from the campground. There is a Walmart, restaurants, camp stores, etc, in the area. The campground I quiet, the fishing is great, we caught several different types of fish using night crawlers. All in all there are zero complaints. The campground is clean, quiet, fun, serene, great location! I am so so grateful to have found this gem! I pray the camp hosts have an amazing winter and cant wait to see them next year!

Beautiful, well maintained campground with great park staff. We loved this park but be aware that it is set on a very steep hillside. There were not any trails to walk, at least close to the campground. We camped there in a 43-foot fifth wheel and got around ok but if you stay in one of the lower sites with a rig this large you may have trouble getting around. The sites are also very close together. Would definitely stay here again though.

Stayed at three campsites with nine friends and loved it. Ragland is a scenic campground along the river's edge. We were delighted by the views, the amenities, the lake access (went for an awesome swim!), and the hospitality. Upon arrival, the man at the gate was incredibly welcoming and helpful, guiding us all the way to our site. He made sure each of our friends knew where to find us as they arrived in waves. Thank you for such a great time. Can't wait to go back!

This was our first time here. What a great find Beautiful camoground by theclake,we stayed on #33,this site was level, on a concrete pad,sites were clean,large enough,the roads throughout the campground were well maintained. The bathroom/showers were surprisingly clean and modern.The hosts in the guard house were friendly and very hospitable.I noticed they did escort some Campers to their site and they were seen patrolling the grounds, socializing and cleaning.we already scheduled a return trip.

We stayed in a tent. Really clean bathrooms. Showers were nice and warm. The only thing that I didn't like was the fast traffic hitting the speed bumps. They need someone there slowing them down or bigger speed bumps so they can't go so fast.

Campground seems to lack attention. The fire pit had several trash items in it & there were lots of small trash items all throughout the site. Apparently no one checks the site between reservations. Large tree branches were also on site. The grass needed mowing but that seems to be the norm in all COE campgrounds this year. Probably the worst site condition Ive seen in many years at COE camping.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
