We enjoyed the great water view from site 13. Site 15 looks like the best view of all. There were lots of easily accessible places to fish from the bank. The bath houses were very clean as were all the grounds in the campground. Enjoyed side trips to Rock Island State Park and the charming town of Smithville.

Ordinarily, I would give Ragland Bottoms 5 stars. However, y'all have not been maintaining Ragland Bottoms up to standard. The host is fantastic. The people who clean and mow are wonderful. The view is spectacular. The location is one of our favorite places on earth. You also fixed the water temperature issue of being too hot in the bath house, which I greatly appreciate! The ramp platform at the campsite is finally completely rebuilt. It is so much easier to put boat in and pick up the car driver (as well as dropping off), since that is now in place. Having said that: The women's bathroom commode leaks at base, which I learned has been reported more than once through reporting channels. Too many of the rails at campsites and even at the volleyball court are failing and dangerous if anyone were to lean on them. The men's handicap shower has no handheld, so is basically unusable for any handicapped person. There is at least one, perhaps more, campsites along the water that have no covered table on which to place items. (See pictures of Sites 13, no table, and sites like 12, 14, etc., that do.) Also, too many sites are missing the hanging pole on which to keep our garbage away from the racoons and skunks! We "made do" with a clothes line between trees, but it was way too close to the ground and could have easily been invaded by any creature. Sadly, no effort has been made to keep the walking trail clear. I asked if it were possible to have boy scouts make that an Eagle project, but I was informed that the red tape made it impossible for those who had wanted to do that to get approval from the Army Corp. I hope that attention will be focused on Ragland Bottom Campground to return it to the excellent standard it has had in the past for us. We dearly love the place and want to see it receive the love and attention it deserves. Thanks for listening.

Incredibly clean and quiet. Showers/bathrooms were spotless. Even had washers available free grata. Park staff was friendly and very helpful. Nice beach and 2 boat launch ramps available. No Wi-Fi or regular TV available, however, Verizon Hotspot worked great. Electric Bikes are a must due to steep and long hills. Definitely will return.

Awesome camp host, Jerry, genuinely wants folks to enjoy their stay. Bath houses were very clean, nicer than the usual COE facility. Sites are spacious and well-maintained. Only one drawback: it is very, very difficult to get a 40 Class A level almost anywhere in the park. Bring boards, especially if you are in D loop. We parked at the extreme front of the pad and used three boards under each rear wheel (total 12 boards!) on site A-19 and were still a bit off-level. The couple we were traveling with couldnt get level on A-21, but Jerry found them a spot that worked: A-6. That and A-4 are probably your best bets if you dont want to use boards.

Ragland is the perfect location. Close to Sligo 2 ramps. Very clean. Great stAff.

Great campground with nice sized sites. Bath houses were super clean. Well manicured grass. Friendly camp host. Two good sized playgrounds for the kids. Two boat ramps, one with a loading dock. Nice quick trail to a beautiful overlook! Only thing I can say bad is our site and some other sites fire pit was in large rocks to the side of the site making it hard to sit around.
