We reserved site 57 (primitive, drive up tent site). Pros: the sites are large (plenty of room for 2 tents, 2 cars, hammocks, etc), staff friendly, reasonably priced, very pretty location, located near Burgess Falls and not too far from Rock Island state park. Cons: no firewood available from the campground (had to drive to the store on the main road for supplies), there are no "camping pads" (we set up our tents on the driveway), there was trash and even a sewing needle in the grass at our site, the nearest bathroom appears to be permanently closed, sites are on a hill and the walk to/from the nearest bathroom is challenging in the middle of the night or in the heat of the day (we ended up driving most of the time). The closest bathroom to our site was the smaller of two in the campground. The showers are quite small in this building, and the bathroom only has one sink with a very small counter, so a guest recommended that we check out the larger shower building closer to the lake. These are nicer, but we couldn't adjust the water temperature and it was scalding! There's a handheld showerhead in the larger shower stall, but the smaller shower stall only has a single high-pressure nozzle that was painful to use! I'd stay here again but I would rent an electric tent site near the water (the walk is not far from the parking lot).

Nice quiet campground. Good access to the lake. The Hiking trail is a mess though, doesn't look maintained for quite some time. Also, the bathroom next to Hiking trail is locked up and looks unused for a long time.
