This was our 1st experience with a COE campground and were we delighted! The drive into here was easy . We interacted with delightful hosts. Parking was easy to enter. We are a retired couple pulling a 5th wheel . We also have the lifetime national park pass .

I had to stay in a site that was on a down grade, causing me to have to leave the park and go buy lumber to level my camper. I had to raise the right rear 2' off the ground to level the camper. (It was site 28.)I really like the park itself although better access to the bath houses would be great. There are also a lot of weeds along the banks, so fishing is near impossible. It would also help if there were more trash cans throughout the park.

Arrived on the Sunday before Labor Day. Pontoon boat at shore a couple sites down was blasting music. After they left things quieted down. We stayed 4 nights. I appreciated seeing the 'park attendant' vehicle making rounds. I would hope they increase their presence during the weekends.

Always enjoy going to poole knobs campground. Love the sights overlooking the lake. Only recommendation would be to clear some of the underbrush away from the lakes edge. No trees , just brush. Some of the campsites where water used to be quite visible have gotten overgrown near lake. Always a great stay though.

I love COE campgrounds because they are almost always clean, well spaced and scenic. Poole Knobs is all of that, but the location of the bathroom and showers is ridiculous. If you are lucky enough to have a lakeside site (which most are), the closest bathrooms are to either walk up an arduous hill or drive. Plus it is a LONG walk from most campsites to the "trail" to the bathrooms. Whoever designed this campground had obviously near camped.

Biggest thing remind campers that this is nature - and that dead tree limbs can fall on your vehicle causing much more damage than one could imagine.

well maintained camp. other than rowdy guests the area is quiet and you can enjoy nature. my first choice when considering camping in the area

Great site! Lake front, shade, plenty of room, great space away from camp neighbor's! Love that we can keep the boat at the camp site.

My time camping was very good. I had a nice view of the lake, and access to the lake wasn't hard to get to. There does need to be better access to the bathhouses for people like me with a slight handicap. Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay.

The entrance staff were polite, but thats where the positives end. This campsitelike many others in the campgroundwas extremely uneven, covered in rocks, and offered no flat space suitable for even a small tent. The bathhouse had hot water, but one of the three shower stalls was clogged and flooded when I turned it on, forcing me to relocate mid-shower. Most concerning, large nuts frequently fell from the trees, one of which left a deep dent in my vehicles hood. Had it hit a person, it could have caused serious injury or worse. I do not recommend this campground.

This has to be the most "In the Woods" COE campground we've stayed at so far. It definitely has a state park feel. On this site we needed to drive back and forth a bit using our LevelMate Pro (Great tool, by the way!) to find a spot we could level from, and needed to come up about 4 inches. There is a fairly steep but easy path down to the water with a small rock shelf where you can put a chair or two if you want. The bathrooms are typical COE bathrooms and were kept very clean. They were, however, a good distance from this site. If you are camping with kids, be aware that there is no playground or established beach. Our grandkids did just fine swimming and kayaking off of our site. Overall an enjoyable experience.

The campground itself was nice. We booked last minute and got one of the less desirable sites - but there are lots of really nice ones backing up to the lake if you book in time.Our main disappointment was the actually the campers. Lots and lots of foul language and "riff raff" into the late hours of the night. We had our family with us and this was a constant battle. At our actual campsite we dealt with neighbors who were screaming at each other, fighting, cursing and behaving questionably day and night. When we took our kids to the lake, there was a pontoon parade with EXPLICIT music SO LOUD we could hear literally every word. It was definitely NOT a family friendly environment and we probably will not go back. The campground itself was clean and nice, though. All the staff that we encountered were friendly.

It was quiet and peaceful! I went there with my pups and I love the shaded roads. It was safer for them to walk as the roads were not so hot. We will be back!

We love this part of the world. Its peaceful and the shade trees make even 90 plus degree days bearable. Super nice managers on site as well.

Many of the sites are not level at all. There is also no designated swimming area at this campground.

We were passing through this area and needed a place to camp overnight. The campground was quiet and our site was clean. Each site has a very nice picnic and fire pit area. We did enjoy chatting with the campground host who was friendly and courteous.

This is our fourth year to come with a group to Poole knobs for a long weekend. The campground is always neat and well kept. The hosts are always very kind. There is a Walmart close by to pick up any supplies. You may have forgotten. Plenty of parks and restaurants within a 20 minute drive.

Was our favorite campground for the past 15 years but we are going to seek another.

Weve camped at Poole Knobs for years. Finally got site #32. It has a paved pad, and really hard to get on the weekends. Love the shade and paved areas, but when it rains, the water runs down onto the site, bringing mud all over the pad. So if you are using a rug or have things sitting on the pad, it will all be covered in mud! Other than that issue, its a great water site!

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
