The nice lady at the front gate was extremely helpful in securing a site for our night as the internet was down that made the reservations and she managed to get on the phone with recreation.gov and get a site for us.

We arrived during a thunder storm; signage directing us to the campground entrance was small, faded and sparse. So be careful. The shower facilities were badly in need to maintenance. They were reasonably clean but drains didnt work and water pooled above your ankles. Views from the sites were lovely from sites on the lake, but sites required quite a bit of work to level, so come prepared.

Beautiful and rustic campground (emphasis on rustic), a very short drive to the suburbs of Nashville. If you want luxury amenities, this is not the place for you. If you want to sit among the wildlife, listen to the birds, and enjoy gorgeous lake views, this is it.

Not a single flat place to pitch a tent and me without my shovel to dig one out. I had to sleep on a 8-12 degree incline which proved to be rather intermittent due to sliding around the tent. I finally stacked all my possessions on one side of the tent and used that as a wall to sleep against for a few hours. With a flat landing somewhere on the site to pitch a tent, the accommodations would be quite nice.

I suggest not offering site 53 as a tent site. It's large but there were no truly level places on the site, and the ground is extremely hard packed and rocky. We've stayed at a hundred different parks in tent sites and this site was among the least enjoyable. If you cut in a level tent pad it would make all the difference. Bathroom facilities were very good.

Campground sites were very good large and spacious. The campground staff was excellent. I had a couple of issues and talked with them and we got everything resolved very quickly and efficiently.This is definitely one of the places that my wife and I will return to when we come into the Nashville area

Beautiful campsite and great campground hosts. Bathrooms are clean. Site 20 does not have the post in the location you think the site is located. Site numbers are confusing! Pull through but not level. Scenery and size of lot fantastic!!

I spent a weeklong staycation here. Just what I needed. I got a waterfront site so the view was great and overall a fun place to enjoy my boat. I live in Nashville, so it was close enough to commute to work in town when I had to. The Camp Staff was excellent. I'll be back next year!

This was our 1st experience with a COE campground and were we delighted! The drive into here was easy . We interacted with delightful hosts. Parking was easy to enter. We are a retired couple pulling a 5th wheel . We also have the lifetime national park pass .

Decent campground. Enjoyed the stay for a week, but power went out one night, and was still not on 18 hours later, so we left. Campground didnt refund any money for the trouble, day without electricity or early departure.

As with any adventure, what you put in will dictate what you get out. Plan and prepare, taking in account for weather. Communication is a key ingredient from both the campers and the host.

I had to stay in a site that was on a down grade, causing me to have to leave the park and go buy lumber to level my camper. I had to raise the right rear 2' off the ground to level the camper. (It was site 28.)I really like the park itself although better access to the bath houses would be great. There are also a lot of weeds along the banks, so fishing is near impossible. It would also help if there were more trash cans throughout the park.

Arrived on the Sunday before Labor Day. Pontoon boat at shore a couple sites down was blasting music. After they left things quieted down. We stayed 4 nights. I appreciated seeing the 'park attendant' vehicle making rounds. I would hope they increase their presence during the weekends.

Always enjoy going to poole knobs campground. Love the sights overlooking the lake. Only recommendation would be to clear some of the underbrush away from the lakes edge. No trees , just brush. Some of the campsites where water used to be quite visible have gotten overgrown near lake. Always a great stay though.

I love COE campgrounds because they are almost always clean, well spaced and scenic. Poole Knobs is all of that, but the location of the bathroom and showers is ridiculous. If you are lucky enough to have a lakeside site (which most are), the closest bathrooms are to either walk up an arduous hill or drive. Plus it is a LONG walk from most campsites to the "trail" to the bathrooms. Whoever designed this campground had obviously near camped.

Biggest thing remind campers that this is nature - and that dead tree limbs can fall on your vehicle causing much more damage than one could imagine.

well maintained camp. other than rowdy guests the area is quiet and you can enjoy nature. my first choice when considering camping in the area

This place exceeded my expectations in both safety and cleanliness. Great place for families and a welcoming environment. I would definitely stay here again after my 8 day stay. I travel solo with my little dog and felt completely comfortable here.

Great site! Lake front, shade, plenty of room, great space away from camp neighbor's! Love that we can keep the boat at the camp site.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
