The location is perfect for my visit. Just a few miles from stores and restaurants. Close to local activities and places of interest. I stay here every year I visit the area and will continue even when I move to TN. The area is peaceful and quiet at night except for the occasional rude loud fellow camper. It is relaxing to take in the nature surrounding the area and the beautiful sunsets on the lake.

We only stayed for one night and arrived around 9:30 pm. The check-in station was closed until the morning, so we were able to just proceed to our site. This was nice because it was so hassle free, but also makes it so there isnt any security at night. The showers were free and fairly clean with hot water, as well as the bathrooms. The road leading in to the campground is easy to navigate and not too far from gas stations and restaurants (about ten minutes). The individual sites are pretty close to each other, many with almost adjoining driveways. Many campers were there for longer periods, giving the campground a neighborhood feel. Cellphone service is strong enough to make calls and texts, but not enough to stream or download anything.
