Always enjoy going to poole knobs campground. Love the sights overlooking the lake. Only recommendation would be to clear some of the underbrush away from the lakes edge. No trees , just brush. Some of the campsites where water used to be quite visible have gotten overgrown near lake. Always a great stay though.

I love COE campgrounds because they are almost always clean, well spaced and scenic. Poole Knobs is all of that, but the location of the bathroom and showers is ridiculous. If you are lucky enough to have a lakeside site (which most are), the closest bathrooms are to either walk up an arduous hill or drive. Plus it is a LONG walk from most campsites to the "trail" to the bathrooms. Whoever designed this campground had obviously near camped.

The Park is the nicest one we have stayed in in over 55 years of camping. Both on and off the lake the sites are way above average. We have our own bathroom so didnt need to use the campground facility. I did notice they were dated but they were clean. Staff was very nice

The sites arent level and too small for most campers. Very rough and hard to maneuver. The shower houses are not easy to access.Horrible experience.Never going back.

We absolutely loved this campground. It is very private and your not piled on top of each other.

Friendly people and well kept camping area. Bathrooms are far from sites and require travel by car by most but are very well maintained and up dated compared to bathrooms in NY state! Nashville area has many things to do as well at Gatlinburg if you're up for the drive.

Great location, no issues with the site. My biggest suggestion is having a restroom on the outer loop.

I was there on 09/25/2019 and 09/26/2019. This campground is my second choice to Seven Points on J. Percy Priest Lake. The layout of the campground makes it inconvenient to get to the restroom/bathhouse. It is a long walk around on the road. There is no path through the forest to get there. If you want to drive, you have to unhitch your car from your trailer. Very unpleasant in the heat of the summer. I only stay there if I can't get into Seven Points. Other than that, it is a pretty forested campground and all sites have a view of the lake.
