The Campground is well maintained. The volunteer staff was very helpful. It is a reliable resource for camping in the middle of the Washington DC metro area.

Really like the spacing of the sites, allowing for some privacy between campers. Boat ramp area is beautiful. The host at the front gate was very helpful.

Great campground and I will return. This rating is specifically for site 21. It is small and difficult to maneuver into. Fortunately, site 20 was empty because I had to drive through it to access site 21. The site is not even close to level and access to the picnic table and firepit requires walking a short uphill and rocky trail. At night, without light, I would likely slip coming down the trail so I didnt use that area. It needs 6-8 steps and a handrail. Overall, the campground and staff get 5 stars. This particular site gets 1 star.

We *LOVE* Anderson Road and come every year at the end of the school year. This year there were some things that made our stay (3 nights, 2 campsites - sites 11 and 12) less awesome than usual. 1. When we got to site 11, I noticed that the grill over the fire pit had been moved from the fire pit up by the driveway and beside the picnic table, all the way down to the little makeshift fire pit down by the lake. It's attached to an extremely heavy piece of concrete, so I couldn't move it back up. The onsite camp overseer had no explanation of how that could've happened. It meant that we couldn't cook at all on site 11. Thankfully the fire pit grill was where it needed to be on site 12, so we just used that one. By the end of our stay, the maintenance guys had installed a new grill in site 11, so it's usable now. But that definitely threw a wrench into our plans.2. We got heavy rain, and a lot of our stuff got wet. I tried to use the dyer at the main bathrooms, but it ate all my quarters and never turned on. The camp oversee was sympathetic and attempted to return my quarters, but by the time he figured out what was wrong with the dryer (apparently a simple fix), it was too late for us. We had to go back home to sleep that night because our sleeping bags were wet.3. Now that the washing machine is at the main bathrooms, there is no easy water access anymore. The only available spigot is on the back side of the bathrooms, and there's a pipe half covering it. Filling up water bottles and our gallon jug is tricky. 4. The trash factor continues to be bad. We have to clean up a lot when we get there. It can get gross.Besides those things, we still had a great time and will definitely come back again next year! We love walking the lake edge from rock to rock; skipping rocks; playing four-square at the asphalt section of the boat ramp area; going to the swimming beach during the day; and all the wonderful things that go along with camping.

Site 20 is a pull-through on the lakeshore with a flat concrete pad. Very nice!

Nice quiet campground, we were there before schools were out, so it wasnt busy. Visited Nashville. Camp has locked gate after 10pm.

surprised by lack of level spot - site 18. Host was very friendly. Bathrooms clean and well maintained.

Its a great camp site for tents. Not crowded, which is not like the others in the area.

Site number 3 is nice but, we had a lot of small flying bugs that are attracted to light (dont leave your door light on!) we didnt use the beach area but, it looked nice with a playground. If you have a boat you can launch it from here. Not too far from Nashville and all its attractions.

Terrible camping neighbors nearby who party so loudly until after 2am, keeping half the campground awake and furious. Then, at about 4:30am, there were a couple of people wandering the loop road, moving off into the bushes, then back onto the road like someone either looking for something or drugged out of their minds. The rest of my 3 nights were find. Just concerned about security and quiet.

Wish there was someone at gate house during week to check people in. There was twice as much traffic come in and sleeping in empty campsites next two us that didnt have to pay. Sleeping in there cars trucks with loud music until 2 in morning. Other than that it was great and beautiful .

We didnt feel safe in that campground, people coming in and out all hours of the morning 12:30, 1,2 and 3 am. Speeding through also with no regard for the speed bumps. There is no guard at the gate to even make sure people belong there.I will say the lake view sites are very nice and not buggy at night or early morning.Bathroom and showers far outdated.

Each campsite has a grill, a wooden table for prepping, concrete picnic table, fire pit with a rack to grill. Bathrooms were very clean. We enjoyed our stay and would camp here again

Site #7 - how beautiful it was! We feel.so fortunate to have found such a wonderful campground with one of the most beautiful campsites we've ever had! We had no neighbours during our stay so had 100% privacy on this massive site where we could launch our kayaks for a 20 km paddle without moving the car. Groceries are conveniently close, Nashville honky tonk just 30 minutes away. Perfection! Thank you US COE. You know how to do things right!

Everything here was wonderful. The campground was spacious, clean and secluded but with several stores and places to eat right down the road. I stayed for 2 nights in #7 and will definitely be back! I spent one day at Anderson Road park where they had beach front spots tables, grills and tree to set up a hammock. Very relaxing and enjoyable.

This was a great place for me and my family to stay just outside Nashville. Very clean. Easy to get in and out. The kids had a great time at the lake.

Perfect location to explore downtown Nashville about 20 minutes away. Very quiet campground.Bathrooms and showers are well maintained. AT&T had 2 bars. I will definitely stay here again

Love this campground. I come to Nashville regularly for business and stay here whenever its open. It has everything I need. Decent management, facilities and has a great running opportunity with the park down the streetLove it!

The stay was phenomenal. It was a mostly quiet and relaxing experience. Our last night there were some folks across the lake who decided to blast music well into the night. I wasnt planning on holding that against the campgrounds we were at since it obviously wasnt their fault. But Nancy (god I hope I remembered your name right!) very kindly refunding that night of our stay as an apology for something they had no control over. I cant wait to go back and thank Nancy in person

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
