Lake Alpine West Shore Campground is located in the Calaveras Ranger District, Stanislaus National Forest (1 hr 36 min south of Carson City, NV) with an elevation of 7,368 feet. There are a total of 25 campsites. The campground is normally open from the end of June to mid October. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 24 and 54 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. Prices start at $31.00 per night. Some amenities include boat ramp, restroom, flush toilets. Activities include boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

The campsite was very nice. We enjoyed walking over to the lake and hiking up to inspiration point. Unfortunately the restrooms were not stocked with toilet paper. The time of year we went (middle of October) the lodge was no longer open. Bear boxes on the campsite were a plus!

Very nice camp site. I was in campsite 11 and the view of the lake was amazing in October. No complaints other than it rained almost all day and all night but thats part of camping in October.

Such a great time camping here with my family, the camp host Deb is great and explains everything really well and is very welcoming. We just try to snag a spot when we see them available. Tried two different camp spots here and they were both great. We love just hanging at camp or by the lake. There are a couple hikes close by we have yet to try. We will be back

Beautiful campground, clean and quiet! Bathrooms are the nicest pit toilets Ive ever seen. (and Ive seen a lot)This is our go-to get away. And there is no better campground host than Deb. She takes her job seriously and goes out of her way to accommodate guests. Her whole objective is to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Thanks Deb!!!!

The campground area and restrooms were very clean. Our motor home had some leveling issues and the host was nearby, knowledgeable and helpful. Altho nearly fully occupied, the campground was quiet by early evening.

The camp host was exceptionally friendly and helpful . The area is beautiful. The resort across the street has showers and a restaurant.

#12 was a Great spot. Its a waterfront view and really big since no one is to the right of you. Its in front of the walking trail but people walk all around the camp grounds on the road so none of them seem very seculuded anyway. 30 second walk and youre at the water. Loved it. I also had full service here with T-Mobile with was great.

Excellent. Very quietLoved the access to the lake Wish there was a sink even outside of the restroom. Chipmunks were aggressive.

This campground was clean, quiet, and right by the lake. The camp host was so welcoming and informative. I stayed at site 11 and loved every second of it. Will definitely be back!

We stayed in 014. It is marked as tent only. This spot is great if you have a tent (shaded for tents), but it is also fine for truck campers (RTT) and camper vans. I think it is meant for pull in vs back in. We backed our six foot bed double cab truck in but it mightve taken a 7 point turn. It driveway had a slight slant to it but it is levelable. The view from this site is great! It would be even better if it was earlier in the season and the river/creek behind this site was flowing. Deb the camp host is great.

Despite it being Labor Day weekend, it did not feel crowded in the campground. We heard the live music from the lodge during the day on both Saturday and Sunday which added a fun vibe to the weekend. Our camp host, Donna, was terrific. She was there to answer any and all of our questions. The vault toilets were spotless! We headed to the Lodge early for dinner and lunch and took a hike up to Inspiration Point. Highly recommend both activities.

This is one of the nicest campgrounds I've ever been to. We stayed in site 2 which was right near the entrance. It was shady and there are wildflowers all over. Restrooms were extremely clean and well stocked. Close to the lodge/store/restaurant. We could walk to the lake and easily drive to a kayak drop off spot.

Lake Alpine is always great. Such a beautiful place. Unfortunately, not all of the parking pads are level, and, with an RV, that can be problematic. We had to raise one end our motor home a foot off the ground to make it level. Hoping they can address that for next year.

Awesome campsite, but the camp host is like from Gestapo. She left everybody without toilet paper on the 4 of July (embrace your dependence), and was very strict about everything for no real reason.

Camp was well organized. Great location. Neighboring campers were all respectful of each other and the camp host did an excellent job.
