This campground has wonderful access to the beautiful lake. Just a short walk through the campground to either the beach or the public boat ramp. Easy access by kayak at the beach. New for 2023 are new pit toilets which replace the flush toilets and sinks of previous years. It's definitely a downgrade. The camphost keeps them clean, but they are still pits. The only bad campsite is #1; it is rocky and has uneven surfaces. Difficult to pitch a tent and walk into at night. Many sites will accommodate large capers and cars with trailers. The Alpine Lode, store, and restaurant are across the road.

Camp Hosts; Donna and Carl were the best. ALWAYS working to ensure park was clean and all visitors followed the rules. We went to through the other Alpine camp grounds, NO where near as clean and organized and West Shore. Donna NEVER stops moving, I felt guilty relaxing because she was always working so hard, she is all over that camp ground.
Wish there were a few more water faucets around, but the site it's self is clean, people were happy and friendly, camp hosts set the environment and all seemed very happy and friendly, VERY nice. Carl and Donna, THANK YOU, so glad you were our hosts, God we needed a relaxing getaway, you made it possible!

My stay at Lake Aline campground in my RV was great. The campground hosts Earl and Donna were very friendly, helpful, and very organized. The bathrooms, firepits, were well managed. There was no loud unruly people, no speeding cars, because the hosts are strict to the rules.
