Eel Creek Campground is located in the Central Coast Ranger District-ODNRA, Siuslaw National Forest (1 hr 32 min northwest of Roseburg, OR) with an elevation of 42 feet. There are a total of 51 campsites including 2 tent-only sites. The campground is open all year. 49 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 20 and 54 feet. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. Fees range from $22.00 to $44.00. Some amenities include drinking water, restroom, trash dumpster, amphitheater. Activities include ohv trails nearby, fishing, hiking trails.

Well maintained, fantastically located. Potable water, flush toilets and ample space within and between campsites. Beautifully shaded, plenty of coverage from the sun, as well as the sight and sounds of Hwy-101 which sits a few hundred yards away. I traveled by bus (it ends 1/4 mile away at Lakeside) and had no issues, simpler still with a car. The foliage also provides exceptional privacy for each site without constriction. The site also skillfully hides that everything is built upon sand, with multiple access points to the dunes from the campground, either by the John Dellenback trail or the various others that emerge from campsites and spill upon the vast landscape. Within camp trails are everywhere, speaking to care in placement and long histories of use. The walk across the dunes was like crossing snow, challenging and playful. There are good markers to keep you on track but plenty of room to cross the sand as you please with the beach appearing a great distance away. A mirthful tunnel of trees meets you on the other side, spilling you upon the beach when you emerge. Fantastic. I caught a break in the weather, the sun shining and warming the days between two waves of rainfall. The wind outside the campground felt good while I was there, but might turn me away in more demanding weather. Will be back. Worth your time.

Great access to John Dellenback trail and each site has shrubs and trees for privacy. Well maintained bathrooms too.

We love camping at Eel Creek. It is a peaceful, beautiful, clean campground where hikes in the dunes are outstanding. Our only challenge is that we used to be able to drop in and there were always spots. Now, we have to register in advance and the campground is virtually empty most of the time. It would be better used if it could be more accessible on a first come first served basis - at least some of the sites. That works well at Tillicum on the coast and I don't see why it wouldn't work here as well. Thanks, Marilyn

The site was clean and the bathrooms were too. The host came and greeted us. She was super nice and sounded sincere when she said to come to her if we needed anything.We Loved site 11 and our family will be back. I think we have found our families "spot" to make a ton of memories.

Very nice camp spot. Secluded with trees and very quite and away from the main highway. Had a great Labor Day weekend campout. Was amazing

I was concerned based on previous reviews booking the last site that was close to one of the bathrooms. Luckily, my fears were unfounded as I never one smelled the bathrooms (Which were the nicest restrooms I've ever experienced at a campground)The host was excellent & gave excellent local recommendations. My daughter has demanded that this campground become tradition.

Nice location enough off highway to avoid traffic noise. Bathrooms very clean. Great hiking access. Stayed in A02- very private and spacious.

The campground had very friendly and hard working camp host, Sydney. The facility was clean and quiet in the morning and evening. We go every year. Two lakes close by for fishing and swimming.

This campground was so beautiful and every site had something to offer. It felt cozy and being surrounded by trees and so close to the sand dunes felt so magical. Also the camp host is the sweetest person you'll ever meet, so I highly recommend staying here. I'll definitely be coming back!

Always love coming to stay here. Just wished they had showers. But love the double sight. It's big enough for the family to come together and have a wonderful camping trip.

Campsites should have approximately square footage available for setting up tents so you can determine how many folks each site can comfortably accommodate.

Plenty of space for our tents in site 46. We had 3 tents and could have fit 3 more. This is a great site for sure! The sand is also very comfortable for sleeping.

The camp host was very helpful in providing information about making areservation and moving my site. The sites are spaced apart well providing good privacy. The sites also vary in type. The access to the dunes is simple.

Eel creek was a lovely campground and very close to the dunes. It was well kept and the spaces were nicely organized. There was even a pile of starter wood at each site to help get a fire going. The only suggestion I have is that in the bathroom (womans) there is no counter space to sit your toiletries on like a brush, toothpaste, etc. It had just a sink with a very small area around the faucet. There were also no hooks to hang anything on like a towel or washcloth. Putting in a counter area and some hooks for clothes or towels would be very appreciated. Thanks

Site 27 is right near the bathrooms so we did not use it. Otherwise, excellent campground!!
