Our campsite was the cleanest that we have ever experienced upom arrival. The hosts were attentive to the stated rules as well as maintained cleanliness in the bathrooms. The lake is so refreshing after a day trip into the Sequioas or Kings Canyon!Also the proximity to the Hume Lake Christian camp and amenities, (store, gas, boat rentals, snack shop) makes this an ideal location for all kinds of campers!

I loved camping here. It was quiet, people were friendly, kind and respectful. The girls at the front desk at the Christian camp center was especially helpful when we accidentally locked ourselves out of our Tesla. They let us use wifi to get in touch with family for help. The only person that would be able to help us was Eric, the kind park ranger who happened to have a STARLINK to give us internet at our camp site so that we could download the app and get the car to unlock. Everyone was so friendly, so kind, and so helpful. I would love to come back here again and again. The lake was beautiful, serene, and you have everything you need. Even gas and a convenience store and giftshop!

Well, to start off with no host at the campsite. Went and found our campsite number 15. Post had been knocked down didn't even have our name on it or anything. But the worst thing is site number 15 is about a 45 incline no way could I park my fifth wheel on that and try to get it level. Went back out to try to find the Camp Host nowhere to be seen our name is not anywhere on the board. Would not recommend this site number 15 for any camper fifth wheel or travel trailer terrible plus the picnic table was 40 yards down the hill from the back of the site. And of course there's no cell service, so we weren't able to contact anyone and just gave up and went back home around trip nine hours .

Loved enjoying this campsite with friends. We enjoyed spending the day by the lake and the water was perfect, even comfortable enough for a baby, in mid-August. Just note spots get reserved early for the good lake spots and the parking lot also gets full. If you dont have a lake front campsite, just plan to wagon your gear or drop off with your car. Enjoyed paddle boarding and swimming. Watch for mosquitos and plan for bug spray. We got bit a lot our first night.

There was no staff. The lack of staff caused for a bad and outright dangerous experience. 1st: The sign hung at our campsite said the wrong name and there was a mixup. I rented suite 28 but someone elses name (who didnt pay) was on the sign post. This caused so much trouble when it could have been easily cleared up if there was ANYONE working. 2nd, so much loud noise and music. Where was the patrols? Ive been camping around the world for 30 years and some sites need more patrol than others, this one needed it. There was a dog being abused and screaming for hours and there was no way i could help, a single woman camper in the dark.3rd: So much money to camp for zero services. I get that money has to be made but the camp site having no showers didnt warrant 40 dollars a night. Get your stuff together, parks need employees for the safety of the forest and patrons.

Beautiful site! Had a great stay. Asides from the usual background noise of some people here and there throughout the night, it was peaceful and quiet.

No showers and a few bees, nothing too bad. I expected both of those. Unfortunately I did not expect the mosquitos, so anticipate those. I was at site 11. Close to the bathroom with flushing toilets. This particular loop of people was very quiet and respectful of everyone. 5 minute walk down to the lake. Would return.

Nice campground, our site had a good amount of room and it was spread out. I would come back!

Christian camp was pretty loud, echoes across the lake very loudly, but I had ear plugs to cut out the noise at night. Mornings were beautiful and quiet.

Beautiful lake!! The park was clean and we felt very safe. The campsite was just as described and we were able to easily access bathrooms, trash sites, and water (which was drinkable! definitely a plus!). Overall, great experience and coordination with the Campsite coordinator.

Pros: Beautiful campground. Our site (37) has plenty of shade cast by huge pines. Walking distance from the lake (10 min approx); we had a great time swimming there. The mornings were very peaceful. Cons: The christian camp is very noisy (hundreds of people yelling in the distance). Also sites are quite close to each other, and since we were next to a huge group (more than 10 people, many children), it was not quiet for us. Nobody enforced the camp rules (for instance, that generators shouldn't be used after 10pm).

Great location and camp hosts. VERY difficult to reserve sites 6 months before stay then by persistence a few nights can be reserved but almost never weekend nights. Sad thing is, the last week of July this year and last year we found 1/4 -1/2 of the reserved sites never inhabited, even Friday nights, and we had to move sites to get 4 consecutive nights while the sites we moved to or from were never occupied! Camp hosts said even though reservation regulations say that sites must be occupied within the first 24 hours of the reservation start day, people just became irate with them so Hosts don't "fight" it and Just leave sites empty in the chance that someone may show up and get angry. I understand avoiding that but as many wish to share and teach about preservation of these beautiful public forests with their children, etc., perhaps a heftier fee and/or enforcement of "no show" rules could be implemented.

Great experience. The bathrooms were clean and stocked. Site 65 was very near bathrooms and water. The camp felt very safe, people left their paddle boats and kayaks by the lake overnight. The lake was beautiful. Our campground was at an angle, but we found a spot for our 6 person tent. The rangers were very friendly. The Christian camp was a breezy 15 minute walk.they have a convenience store, ice cream shop, and food options.

The campground itself was very clean. The bathrooms well maintained. I loved our space. Very spacious ! Other than that, I would not return for several reasons. The main one being that there is a Christian camp across the lake and they are VERY LOUD, even at night time after quiet hours. If you are looking for a quiet camping experience, I do not recommend staying here.

Site 46 was large but hot. The bear box, table and fire pit are located in day long sun. It would not be doable without an easy up or other shelter. We had a resident chipmunk who was dropping pinecones on our site. It required vigilance as they dropped like bombs. They put holes in our easy up. Water & bathrooms were close and maintained.

Beautiful campsite on the lake! Big trees, cool breeze and the water is a short walk away (depending on your site). Our new fave place to camp!

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
