Great camp host, beautiful site. Magical place.

parking lot was occupied by another car and I don't have parking lot for several hours. The ranger looks like she doesn't care at all after I report the car to her.

Hume Lake is one of the best car camping places in California and the US. Beautiful little lake nestled in between two National Parks, doesn’t get much better than that. The Christian Camp was loud one night until 10ish, but not a huge deal.

Where do I start...The hosts were very gracious...but then it went down hill. The forest service is continuing (or so it seems, it started 2-5 years ago) its logging operations with a vendor and is presumably operating as required by the forest service. The operation is the removal of down trees which are all around the lake. But guess where the noise and operations are being conducted during the camping season? You got it, right next to the campground! The quiet enjoyment of the camping area is disrupted THROUGH OUT THE DAY and started as early at 4:30 in the morning. No one could explain why that time of year! I was offered another site at a close campground...but not offered to others. Then we/some of us get an email on the "slight" noise...guess what, no email/phone (known to everyone) and thus could not be read (in my case) by me leaving a day earlier than planned! If it was important to notify then, then why not conform to "industry practices" and disclose before the deal is done? No disclosure is not an industry practice. And now as I write this there is an "alert" posted...why now? Why noise until July? We paid months ago AND procurement actions are started months ago. Do management camp?
I left b/c of material failure to disclose any/all conditions!!

Frankly, industry practice would call for full disclosure on conditions including but not limited to some/all restrooms had at best 50% flush working and other water had also been turned off (read other reviews), etc.

Accordingly, there should be only a reservation fee and a TOKEN/NOMINAL camping fees to incentivize action unless and until management gets their act together and/or outsource to a private concern (done at other locations) that has an interest in running a first class operation.
Management can contact me if they want a complete list of improvement opportunities but let me know the contact info for DC management and the IG.
Good luck to all, pretty place and at night very quiet!!!
