This is a wonderful spot for tent camping. For campers or RVs, as other reviews have mentioned, it isnt ideal. There is no driveway or pull-off into the campsite, you literally just have to park your camper along the main campground road. We have a smaller A-Liner pop-up, and I really cant imagine trying to squeeze anything larger in. And since youre just parking on the road, there is really no privacy or quiet. This is a VERY busy area and campground, so all day (and much of the night), cars & people will be passing directly next to your camper windows. There is also a day-use trail on the other side of the campsite along the lake, so there is really near-constant traffic on both sides. If youre used to camping like this, I would imagine that isnt an issue! But if youre wanting something that feels quieter and more private, and is more trailer/RV-friendly, I would really not recommend this spot. The lake views and access were great here though, so that was a big plus!

We love this campground. The little lake was almost full and perfect for kayaking. The campground was very tidy and the Camp hosts were friendly. We are so enjoyed the nearby trails for hiking.

This site can fit up to 5 mid-sized SUVs in the driveway. It is fairly secluded with decent foliage between the two neighboring sites. It is backed by a hill that leads into the forest. It is close to the restroom, but you aren't able to see the restrooms from the site.The restrooms throughout the campgrounds are very well maintained, well ventilated, and very clean.The lake is very clear. It gets windy during the afternoon, so it does tend to push you around when on the water. The water warms up throughout the day and is warmest in the late afternoon. There are plenty of picnic tables and fire/charcoal pits.The campgrounds has cell phone reception throughout, but maybe 2-3 bars.

I had issues with my coach and Jim, the camp host was very helpful. Thanks to you, Jim and Mike. There were some branches that needed to be trimmed to keep them from scratching RV,s. But overall its a nice park. Id stay there again.

Very clean; excellent hosts; there were lots of screaming children some nights.

The sites and restrooms were immaculate. We went hiking and found on trail signage stolen/missing. Campground hosts were great except no real knowledge of trails. No maps were available that we could find. Lake was well used by day users but very pretty and we wished we had a paddle board or could rent one. I would recommend this campground. Note, there is water to fill the tank but you have to ask the campground host as the water supply is not marked for trailer fill. Standpipes for drinking water were fine but not threaded.

This was a great campground and place to stay! Next time we want to bring a paddle board for the lake!

Camp hosts were very attentive to detail! They knew our particular campsite had been reconfigured after earlier rain damage and that the level spot where we would likely set up was far from the electrical hookup. So they offered us an extension cord to use during our three night stay. Very thoughtful and much appreciated!!!

The campground was very nice with lots of trees and shrubs that provided coverage between campsites. The reason for the one star was a problem with the hosts. We had a 4 day reservation and tried to find a first come first serve to continue our visit. We found one the day before the end of our reservation, and talked to the host who told us he would put our name on it and to come see them at 9 am the next morning. When we showed up at 8:45 he told us someone took it already. There was nothing else available so we had to end our Colorado vacation leaving earlier than planned. It would have been nicer if the host knew his job and how to appropriately handle the first come sites.

Nice campground near the Haviland Lake. Sites are well maintained. We were in #13 which was partially shaded, near the bathroom and quiet.

Tent camping. Site was raked out and clean. Clean tables. Fire pit in good shape. Lake acess good, nuber of and placement of bathrooms was good. Would be great if a shower house or out door beach style wash off was available. I did not see that it had a wash station.

This was one of the best laid out campgrounds we've ever been to. The sites were level and had plenty of space. The grounds and sites were immaculately kept. And the toilets were the cleanest ever! Kudos to the campground hosts and to the National Forest Service for providing such a pleasant campground!

Space #31was a good place to set up my tent. It has more sun than some of the other spaces but it was good for night sky viewing. It was near the bathrooms, up from the lake with a nice breeze and fewer mosquitos. The bathrooms were amazing clean and did not stink. Space #31 is up on the top loop so cars from other loops do not have to go by your space in order to exit the campground. The hosts were professional and kept the noise down at evening. The Osprey were great to watch in the morning going after fish.

Extremely popular and therefore over used facility. Wonderful mountain setting. Plenty of restrooms. Extends up from the lake so most sites don't have direct views. Easy access from the highway.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
