Nice quiet campground next to pretty lake. Sites are pretty well spaced out and offer good privacy. There are lots of big pine trees and Sites are shaded. Basic facilities, no showers. Good base for hiking in area. I stayed 2 nites and enjoyed my stay.

They Haviland Campground was a wonderful, quiet, clean camping experience. The camp hosts were very friendly and available for questions. We will camp there again if we are in the area.

Beautiful, clean, friendly. Perfect spot to camp in trailers.

Really enjoyed this campground! Lots to explore nearby, the lake was delightful. Camp hosts were diligent about caring for the facilities and were often seen moving about and checking on things. They were friendly and available if needed. Choose campsite carefully, some only suitable for tents or van, others spacious enough for larger rig or travel trailer. We will be back!

This was one of, if not the the cleanest campground we have been to. The hosts obviously work hard and take pride in having clean bathrooms and campground. The only reason for not giving an excellent was the number of mosquitos. This is more of a factor of Colorado weather this spring with the large amount and the location close to lakes. Beautiful place and great location close to Durango and silverton

This was a great place to camp, heavy on the mosquitoes, but a very nice and clean place to spend the weekend.

The Campground is very nice and the Vault toilets are VERY clean (immaculate). The only major issue is that the Haviland Lake was drained over 6 months ago resulting in a stale water (that stinks) which is a breeding ground for mosquitoes which were extremely thick during the evening to the point of you could not stay out even with spray. We talked to the park host and they mentioned that no one sprayed for mosquitoes this spring (2020) because of COVID issues. In addition, the Haviland Lake trail signs have all be vandalized so there are no markings for the trail and one can get easily lost. So sad as the campground itself was great / clean and well managed.
